Only in Florida: Fresh Sausage Castle

The Sausage Rises

In my column Only in Florida, I'll be taking you down to the Sunshine State for the latest and greatest sex stories that can only be found in the craziest state in the union.

Not too long ago, we learned of the demise of the great Florida residence of Mike Busey, better known as The Sausage Castle. Many didn't know if this was the end of the dream. Alas, it was not. For now, Mike Busey and his 12 roommates have opened Sausage Castle 8, where all your crazy fantasies, including sexual, can happen.

The new Sausage Castle located in the quiet town of Astatula, though it seems it's not that quiet anymore, sits on over 80-acres of land and includes a private lake, tennis and basketball courts, an exercise path, a pig pen for Mike Busey's pet pig Regina, swimming pool, and even a playground for the kids. Of course, inside all the fun stuff is still there like the firing range, stripper pools, and a nice kitchen.

In a statement released on YouTube Mike Busey said in part:

"I believe in the Laws of Attraction. I've always wanted to live in something as beautiful as this. After giving half of my entire life to this movement, to this cause, it's just now starting to pay off," Busey said. "I may have a few more toys and live in a fancy house, but I'll always be a white trash piece of (expletive). You better believe that."

You might find it a bit surprising, but some of the neighbors of the new Sausage Castle aren't all too thrilled. Besides complaints about loud music, more traffic, and gunfire at all hours of the night, some neighbors have complained about being followed by drunk people and that people have sex in cars outside of the property. Man, these neighbors sound like party-poopers. But Busey is quick to defend his castle, claiming it helps vets, homeless, and those who never fit in. The Sausage Castle offers them a place to stay, friendship, and lap dances. Who among us hasn't had a hard time and wanted nothing more than a lap dance? Huh? Whom I say? Whom? Or as Busey puts it:

"Socially, I would love to show the world that it's OK to be different and that you don't have to feel alone. I love seeing people escape their reality, even if it's just for that moment or that party, video or whatever," Busey said. "I had plenty of ups and downs in my own life, and the only thing that kept me going was humor and learning to laugh in the face of the lowest moments. I want to give people something to help forget about their daily (crappy) job or failed marriage, and just laugh and have a good time."

Now that The Sausage Castle is back up and running, I'm going to keep an eye out to see what kind of wacky adventures they get to up in their new home. It's like that old saying, "You can burn down a castle, but you can't stop the debauchery." At least, I think that's a saying.
