Nobody Cares About Ghosts When There Is Jerking Off to Be Done!

The BBC ran a great story recently about a failure of a parapsychologist in the UK who staged fake hauntings as part of his research back in 1960. AD Cornell chose to haunt the stage of an X-rated movie theater in an attempt to freak out the attending audience by having a fake ghost visible briefly during the trailers before the main porno feature.

None of the audience reported anything remotely paranormal. Many saw nothing unusual at all: 46 percent of the respondents had failed to notice the Experimental Apparition when Cornell first passed in front of the screen, and 32 percent remained completely unaware of it. Even the projectionist, whose job was to watch for anything unusual, reported that he had completely failed to notice the apparition.

Yeah, people were too busy getting ready to get their actual freak on, along with avoiding anyone else's left-behind sexual mementos like used condoms and wadded-up Kleenex. Dirty movie theaters just weren't the tidiest places back in the day, in my experience.

So yeah, those old-school perverts weren't afraid of no ghosts. Good for them!
