Siouxsie Q Needs Help Bringing Her Sex Worker/ Mermaid Musical to Brooklyn Festival

Porn Star/Pdcaster Siouxsie Q is raising cash to get her sex worker/mermaid-themed musical to Brooklyn as part of F!ck Fest at the Brick Theater in Brooklyn, New York.  "Fish-girl" includes original songs written and performed by Q as well as shadow play, physical comedy, antique slide projections and a dramatic plot and storyline. and the underlying story is about "an insider’s look into the hopes, dreams, and fears of a sex worker and the one who loves her."

How can you not want to support that?  Very cool!  

If you are in the city and you want to see Fish-girl, you can pick up tickets for $18 a piece for the show that will be at the theatre on June 24th, June 25th, June 27th and June 28th.  I love the concept of this show so damn much.  How far would you go to love someone who is dedicated to being a sex worker?  The San Francisco Chronicle calls the musical “charmingly difficult, growing more beguiling as myths and realities shift,” and the SF Weekly says, “’Fish Girl’ solidifies Q as a quintessentially San Francisco artist – sexy, dirty, DIY – working in highbrow art spaces…and threading them with lowbrow undertones. The play…is a platform for Q’s activism as much as it is for her whimsy.”
