I can’t imagine the stress that comes with working at an airport, especially outside during bad weather. So it didn’t really shock me when one of the ground crew members of Ryanair airlines took the time to draw a giant penis in the snow at Dublin Airport.
Apparently Ryanair is one of those no frill airlines, probably similar to our Spirit Air. I don’t know if the ground crew were trying to make a statement about working conditions or the passengers who were about to get on the plane, but they felt the need to make a big ol’ snow penis. But, I will say props to the higher-ups at Ryanair for their response:
'While our ground crew excel at industry leading 25 minute turnarounds, art isn’t their forte, as they’ve clearly forgotten to draw wings on their snow airplane.'
In this day and age lots of companies would go on the offensive to discredit this person, probably fire them or blame it on someone who worked at the airport, and do their best to act like this didn’t happen. Then again, it’s hard to disprove something when a bunch of people were there with camera phones. Thanks to modern technology we can all share in this glorious moment. Not too many years ago this would just be a story told in passing that no one would believe. As much as I hate flying and airports, had I been stuck there for a weather delay, this would have truly brought a smile to my face.
