It’s The 40th Annual Nude Beach Survey

Every year since 1974, the San Francisco Bay Guardian (link below) has done a survey of the nude beaches of California, and they're here with their annual report.

North Baker Beach in San Fran gets an A for obvious reasons.

Of course, you don't need to do anything at Baker — it's a great place to relax and be yourself. Or you could go exploring! For a treat, wait until low tide and try finding the beach's "secret" tidepools by walking around the big rocks at the far north side of the beach. One thing that's not tolerated at Baker: gawkers. "People let them know we don't like it," says Santosh. "We want to keep things mellow."

In fact, they just about all got A's. A few assorted B's, but mostly it looked like a straight A summer. There were a couple of C's though, like Garden of Eden, Felton.

Nudity is technically illegal in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, where this creekside skinnydipper's delight is nestled. Not everyone likes the nudists, who often shock the many swimsuit-wearing visitors who like to take a dip here on hot days. Other bummers include slippery, poison oak-lined trails and surprise visits by rangers.

Hey, they can't all be winners, right? Visit the site for the comprehensive list.
