Twenty Questions with Julia Ann

AVN and XRCO Hall of Famer Julia Ann is a national porno treasure and she stars in Shane's World's latest release, "How To Seduce A MILF".  She has been a Vivid Girl, a Wicked Girl, a Digital Playground contract performer and the object of many a porn viewer's lust since she entered the adult entertainment business back in 1991.  Her work with Janine in Blondage and in Andrew Blake's Hidden Obsessions is the stuff of porn legend for how hot it is.  Ann is a graceful, smart and socially consicou performer who openly supports animal shelters and animal rescue efforts.  She is all class and passion.  Here are her answers to twenty questions.

1) What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?
I was a quiet girl and didn’t have many friends. I went to school in a very small town so there wasn’t much to do except hang out by the telephone booths. Dating was also very limited in such a small town.

2) Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?
Before I got into the industry I did watch porn but I didn’t know who the actors were. It wasn’t until I was in my twenties that I got to know any names and then it was Christy Canyon. The boyfriend at the time was a big fan of hers.

3) What do you think shaped you into the great MILF performer that we see in your porno?

Experience and luck has shaped my career. Obviously the longer one shoots the more comfortable one becomes in front of the camera. Then there’s the female sexuality that really kicks in with maturity. Lastly it’s luck. I am who I am and luckily people seem to like that person.

4) What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

I can’t say that there’s anything I want to do that I haven’t done. I think I’ve done everything that I’ve been curious about.

5) Who is your favorite male performer/female performer to work with and why?

Favorite performers to work with is ever evolving. The last really great scenes I had were with a young man named Joey Brass and I always love working with India Summer.

6) You check in with your fans a lot on Twitter. Tell me how reaching your fans through the internet has changed things for you.

The internet is a wonderful way to touch base with everyone at once but at the same time, many people can think that I’m there at their beckon call. It’s interesting how angry some can get when I don’t get back to them.

7) What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

I love missionary. I think missionary is really personal and it takes a real level of trust for a woman to be in such a submissive position.

8) How is being in the business as a MILF performer different from when you were a younger performer?

With experience comes a comfort in myself as not only a performer but a woman, a person. In the beginning I was more insecure with myself and performing out of what I thought was expected of me. Now, I feel I perform more honestly. What you see on film is me and not an alter ego created just for film.

9) What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be better in bed with her guy?

Not sure I hold any position of giving that kind of advice but if I were to share something that I’ve heard from men on more than one occasion, I would tell women to be honest about their own needs. Men like women who know their own bodies and go for what they want to get satisfied sexually.

10) What are the best things about being a porn star? How has it made your life more fulfilling?

The industry is full of amazing relationships if you choose to cultivate them. What other job can you go to and get such a physical connection? I’ve had moments when there is nothing to do on set for a couple hours, so my costar and I just nap, talk and play with each others hair. It might not seem like a big deal but that level of comfort doesn’t happen at your everyday job.
I’ve been able to travel to other countries for my work and see things I might have never seen otherwise.

11) What do you think is your hottest scene?

Oooooo…Hard to say. I had a scene with Nicki Hunter that’s on my site that is really intimate. The camera man was a little uncomfortable because it was so intimate that he felt he shouldn’t have been there.

12) So how do you seduce a MILF?

I can only speak for me but I would say to drop the opening lines and be honest with your intentions. We’ve already heard all the bullshit. In the words of Rod Tidwell from the movie Jerry Maguire, “First, single mothers don't "date." They have been to the circus, you know what I'm saying? They have been to the puppet show and they have seen the strings.”

13) What do you remember most about being in Blondage?

We had so much fun on stage. If I had things to do over I would have paid more attention to every moment back then. We drank like Rock Stars and had the opportunity to hear crowds yell so loud for us that we could hardly hear our own thoughts. It was quite a time.

14) What can we look for in your upcoming releases?

Sex baby. I’m still coming into my own.

15) What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

I don’t know if it classifies as a Best Movie but right now the teenage boy in me is obsessed with the movie “This Is The End” It’s just too damn funny.

16) How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

I don’t watch porn anymore (Sad to say). I have been dying to watch Wicked’s “Divorcees” written and directed by Stormy Daniels. It was hysterical to shoot.

17) Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

I love toys. My lazy side grabs for the Magic Wand. It does everything for me.

18) If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be? Give us your male and female choices and tell us why.

I’m afraid to have sex with my celebrity crushes. If they sucked in bed my fantasies would be crushed. I do have the hots for Hugh Jackman.

19) After all of your years in porn, is there anything you would want to do differently if you had a second chance?

There are people I would have never dated. I let too many personal relationships get in the way of my career.
