Ireland Baldwin’s Girlfriend Thinks People Can’t Handle Them Fucking

Man, I miss being 22. Those were the days. I definitely knew a lot more about the world and how it works than I know now. Everyone that age knows best, for as Oscar Wilde once said, "I am not young enough to know everything."

That's the only thing that I can think of when I read this interview with 22 year old rapper Angel Haze did with The Independent (link below). She thinks that the media is consciously refusing to call her and girlfriend Ireland Baldwin (daughter of Alec & Kim Basinger) a couple. 

“There are still certain limitations for women,” she said. “If we were two guys, it’d be insane, negatively insane with the attention. With us it’s all being very positive, the media are like, ‘Oh they’re so cute, they’re best friends.’ An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We f**k and friends don’t f**k. I have never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen. But we do f**k and it’s crazy and that’s weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, ‘What the hell?’ But it happens.”

Okay, I was with her at first. There is absolutely a double standard for gay women in comparison with gay men, but then her argument just kind of goes to shit. In fact, what the fuck is she even talking about at the end there? Who knows? Maybe it makes sense to other 22 year olds. If you'll excuse me now, I've got to go chase some whippersnappers off my lawn.
