Fleshbot’s Friday Five: Sovereign Syre

Here at Fleshbot, we’ve been following Sovereign Syre for what seems like forever, chronicling her very first steps into hardcore porn, and quite a few others along the way. This past week, we took a moment to talk to her about her first boy/girl scene–and it reminded us of all the reasons why we’ve been crushing on this girl since we first caught sight of her.

For those who are just hopping on to the Sovereign train: this smart, sexy lady entered the adult entertainment arena five years as a model for alt nudie site God’s Girls. Through her nude modeling she hooked up with photographer JM Darling, who soon became her partner in naked crime, photographing her undressed exploits. It was an erotic love letter from Sovereign to JM that first caught our eye–and as we lavished our praise on her, she began figuring out the steps to go from naked model to porn performer.

As we noted above, the majority of Sovereign’s films have been girl/girl, though, it should be noted, not because she ever had any issue with fucking men on camera. As she told Fleshbot in an interview a few years ago:

I am interested in doing boy/girl scenes eventually. I want to tell sexual stories and since I’m a bisexual woman, of course I want those stories to include men. I think that the conditions have to be right for that though. For me attraction to men is a lot more tricky. There are a few performers out there that I find really sexually attractive, but given how new I am to performing on camera, I think I would be too intimidated to give a good performance. Dani Loves Girls: Dani Daniels loves girls… and boy howdy, do girls ever love Dani. “Dani Loves Girls” features the fifth or sixth scene that Dani and Sovereign shot together. You know the line about practice making perfect? In the case of these ladies, it is very, very true. The tips and tricks that they managed to pick up in previous scenes most definitely pay off, as this frantic, orally fixated fuck fest satisfies all our desires — and then some.

Lesbian Sorority: Most of the time, porn performers cast in lesbian college movies are neither lesbians nor college students, and must rely on their acting skills to put forth a believable performance. Sovereign Syre, on the other hand, is both a confirmed lady lover and an alumna of multiple institutions of higher education (she went to grad school, guys!), two things which lend an extra bit of credibility to her portrayal of a sorority girl exploring her sapphic side. Okay, maybe we have a little bit of difficult imagining a maverick like Sovereign joining a sorority — but her chemistry with Sinn Sage is so delicious, we’re willing to suspend our disbelief for that little bit.

Hollywood Babylon: And, of course, no Sovereign Syre list would be complete without her explosive entry into the world of boy/girl scenes. With five phenomenal (and Sovereign-ful) scenes, it’s hard for us to pick just one to recommend. Though if you really feel the need to choose just one, she did say that James Deen is one of her favorite performers.
