There Are Only 237 Reasons We Have Sex; No More, No Less

If you've ever wondered why it is that humans love to have sex, there's now a definitive list of the 237 reasons why we do that voodoo that we do so well.

In a study discovered by Nerve (link below), two scientists set out to discover what these reasons might be.

Researchers Cindy Meston and David Buss... asked 444 people in Austin the open-ended question, "Please list all the reasons you can think of why you, or someone you have known, has engaged in sexual intercourse in the past." From the responses, they compiled a list in which similar answers were combined, and narrowed it down to 237 reasons.

So what are these reasons? Well, for as much as Men are from Mars and Women be shopping, our answers are not so different.

Lots of crossover there, which is encouraging. Things get a little hairy towards the bottom of the list however.
