Monkeys and people aren't that different, at least according to a animal social cognition study by researchers at Duke University Medical Center.

According to the Eurekalert website, "monkeys, like humans, value information according to its social content. People readily pay to see powerful or sexually attractive individuals, and, according to this new study, monkeys will also "pay" to view these kinds of images."

That means that while you're reading this blog post it's very likely that you're also a monkey. In fact, our unscientific research suggests that a good 75 percent of users who log onto Fleshbot are monkeys. Maybe we need to launch a new simian category for the site.

And monkeys, unlike most of the mooks on the Internet, are willing to put their bananas where their mouths are. A pay wall ain't going to stop a monkey with a couple of bitcoins to spend.
