Will The Sqweel 2 Make You Squeal?

EDITORIAL FEATURES

Three years ago, Lovehoney debuted the Sqweel, a sex toy that reframed notions of what a marital aid could do. It wasn't a vibrator, it wasn't a dildo--it was a wheel of ten rubber tongues, which flicked the clitoris as they spun on their axle. It was a fascinatingly different experience...and now, with the Sqweel 2, Lovehoney aims to improve on the original. Have they?

Well, it probably depends on what you'd consider improvement. In the case of the Sqweel 2, it's defined as more options for how the Sqweel makes you, ahem, Sqweel. Where once there was just one single speed, the would be sqweeler is now presented with three; likewise, there's now the option of having the wheel spin clockwise, counterclockwise, or back and forth in a strange, halting motion. To their credit, Lovehoney has designed the Sqweel 2 so that each of the three rotation patterns can be felt in all three speeds--meaning, for those who are bad at math, that the Sqweel 2 can do nine different things instead of just one. Which--theoretically, at least--means you're nine times as likely to get off with this toy.

Oddly, though, there was a part of me that found the Sqweel 2 less satisfying than its predecessor. Perhaps it was because--confronted with so many different options--I felt compelled to try them all...only to realize that most of them didn't really do much for me (and some of the more intense ones straight up hurt). Sure, there's still the original pattern that I enjoyed, and the toy still has the ability to get me off...but somehow, knowing that the toy can do so much more, and that I don't like most of it, just makes it seem, well, flawed somehow. (Blame it on the paradox of choice.)

But, of course, that might not be your experience--you might, in fact, relish in the sea of options afforded by the Sqweel 2's new design (particularly if you happen to be more clitorally focused than I am). Regardless, there is one thing you should still be aware of: if, in your excitement, you find yourself pressing the Sqweel into your mons pubis to feel it more deeply, the pressure will, more than likely, cause the Sqweel's wheel to stop spinning. It's the major problem I had with Sqweel 1, and it's still an issue with Sqweel 2. Perhaps it'll be fixed in Sqweel 3?
