When we chose "Lost in Beijing" for one of our Netflix Picks, we were apprehensive about slipping a serious and ultimately depressing movie in with a bunch of softcore nonsense films. In retrospect, we stand by the decision because 1) sex isn't always sexy, 2) somehow, it's still pretty hot in this movie, and 3) look at this steamy shower fucking scene and tell us you're not captivated.
Chinese censors tried to tear this film apart when it was making the film festival rounds, but they rarely succeeded in getting the edits they wanted. Allegedly, most of the cuts were of relatively innocuous images, such as the Chinese flag, Tiananmen Square, and a scene of a Mercedes-Benz driving through a pothole. Why things like that and not Fan Bingbing's hot bod? Because everybody wants to see Fan Bingbing's hot bod.
