We first saw Ana Alexander on Cinemax's "Femme Fatales," and we couldn't help but note what a brilliant combination of sexiness and badassery she was working with. Now we're completely obsessed with her and her performance on the weekly softcore Eden that is "Chemistry," and while we can easily draw her boobs from memory, we don't know much else about her!
Unfortunately, she's not yet as big a star as we want her to be, so it's a tad hard finding information about her, but here's all we know!
Ana Katarina Stojanovic was born on February 1, 1979 in Belgrade, Serbia. Sometime between then and now, she learned English, Russian, Afrikaans, and a sampling of Polish, Italian, and German. She earned a BA in Theater and Drama from the University of Cape Town before working with various actors' studios and getting intensive coaching from Larry Moss. Actors, naturally, may have to perform freaky athletic feats at any moment, so her resume lists the following special skills: basketball, kickboxing, hapkido, stage fighting, weapon handling, volleyball, handball, yoga, horseback riding, water skiing, snow skiing, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, waltz, and salsa. Why didn't she include "kinky sex" as a special skill? Anyone who's seen "Chemistry" knows that she's the new face of Cinemax, and it's not easy to climb to the top of a softcore empire like that.
But we don't want to pigeon-hole her into some sort of sex goddess role. She's appeared in a bunch of big time films, a handful of stage productions, and dozens of TV shows—and yes, with her clothing on. She's had guest spots on "Reno 911" and "Important Things with Demetri Martin" on Comedy Central, a recurring role on "CSI: Miami," and she's even shown up on Nickelodeon! This lady has serious range.
We hope that Ana Alexander's star continues to climb, and that her time on "Chemistry" gets her recognition from big Hollywood directors looking to cast a sultry Serbian gal as a badass weapons' expert, an alien who teaches the Earth dwellers about the true meaning of love, or maybe even the next Bond girl! Years from now, when she's accepting her Academy Award for Best Actress In A Softcore Role (the future will be cooler than the present), we will fondly remember her steamy beginnings on premium cable, and we will smile to ourselves because Ana Alexander's name can be rearranged to "An Adrenal Axe." We anxiously wait for Ms. Alexander to deliver the next chop of adrenaline to our hearts.
