We've been writing about Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for a long while, but how much do we really know about her? Not enough. Hardly anything! Well, that's all about to change because it's Field Guide time and Rosie is on our mind.
Rosie Alice Huntington-Whiteley was born on the 18th of April, 1987, in Plymouth, Devon, England (sorry about all the commas). She was bullied in school for her long name, lack of boobs, and large lips, but those features made her stand out when she started looking for internships at modeling agencies. Her first gig was posing for a Levi's commercial when she was sixteen; she then immediately spent all of her money on a car. She started working for Victoria's Secret in 2006 but she didn't become well-known until 2008 when she replaced Agyness Deyn for a Burberry campaign. Rosie's career took off: hella campaigns, shoots, accolades, love, and—what we deem most precious of all—nudity.
Naturally, such a captivating beauty attracts all sorts of famous and powerful suitors, and Ms. Huntington-Whiteley is currently dating action star Jason Statham (so don't ogle her too powerfully); you saw what that guy could do in "Crank").
And of course, Rosie is currently in theaters all over the world in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." With all due respect to Megan Fox, we're really happy that Rosie is the new love interest for this summer blockbuster, and if you click through the gallery we have here, you can see a clip comprised entirely of RHW footage from the film (mostly shots of her butt). When Bay was casting the role, he briefly considered hiring Brooklyn Decker and Sarah Wright, but he chose Rosie even though she had no acting experience. Keep your vile suspicions to yourself; Rosie is a classy lady (and besides, it's not like Shia LaBeouf can act).
Speaking of Shia, we have to mention that Rosie said she was nervous about smooching him in the film! She had to wear heels throughout the entire production, and when it came to the kiss, she felt weird about being taller than her co-star. "Please Michael, let me take my shoes off. I feel so unelegant and I feel so unfeminine,' ... and he said 'No. You're giving small men across America hope.'" Touching? It's something.
