“This Ain’t Lady Gaga XXX” Gets Stranger, More Offensive

We had our first taste of Hustler's Lady Gaga parody porn last week, and we were relatively optimistic about where this movie was headed. Now that we have the full trailer, well, we're a little concerned. We'll leave it at that for now.

But this trailer does introduce some good things! Let's break it down.

Good: We get to see what other celebrities will be in the movie! There's Beyonce, Madonna, and...Larry King. Our gut reaction is to go, "Ew, Larry King," but we shouldn't be ageist about it. If a 77-year-old legend like Larry wants to get his freak on, let him do so!

We're also glad to see that Hustler took a stab at parodying other Gaga songs. The "Telephone" spoof is still the best one, but at least the "Born This Way" costumes look legit.

Let's see, what else? Good things... Good things... Hmm. Oh, fuck it.

Bad: As far as we can tell, the plot revolves around a fight between Gaga and Beyonce that starts when Gaga screams at Beyonce, demanding that she "get her fat black ass on set." Really? Even though the movie ultimately condemns Gaga's outburst, we don't understand why this moment of stupidity drives the entire parody.

There was a lot of chatter a few months ago about some big Beyonce and Lady Gaga feud, but A) we heard that beef was totally fake, B) no one cares about it anymore, and C) there was nothing that ever suggested it was caused by a comment about Beyonce's fat black ass! Why couldn't the fight have been about whether or not Gaga is an Illuminati assassin? That's the kind of gossip we like.

Anyhow, getting back to the trailer, the new songs sound awful. Why would they change "Born This Way" to "In Porn Today"? It goes against common sense. The "Bad Romance" spoof has to be the worst though; the tune is too far off to even suggest the original and in no way is "Want your erection" an acceptable substitution for "Want your Bad Romance."

Neutral: The woman who plays Gaga, Helly Mae Hellfire, still has the coolest name of all time.
