Asa Akira’s New Book Charts Her Road from Prep School to Porn Star

We reported on porn star Asa Akira's new autobiography "Insatiable," weeks ago, but it sometimes takes the mainstream media a while to catch up. That's okay, we respect and love our old-school media elders, and there's never a downside to have Asa on our site again. It's all upside.

The New York Post (link below) interviews the Asian arouser, asking her if she always had a hard-on (a wide-on?) for porn. "'I was obsessed with it,' Akira, now 28, recalls thinking when she was in middle school. 'The girls were just really glamorous. They were having sex for money. I thought, "What's better than that?"'"

Hard to argue with that logic. And she's gotten us hard in more than 300 adult movies, making her one of the richest porn stars in America. According to the New York Post, she has a net worth of over $1.5 million, and she's about to add more green stuff by writing about her pink stuff with "Insatiable," her love poem to the industry (reviewed here).

"I'm part of the new era of porn," she tells The Post. "We're feminists, very sex-positive people. We're not victims of rape, not drug addicts, we don't have any daddy issues."
