Do You Have A “Fearless Acceptance Of Nudity?” You Can Be In A Movie!

TV/MOVIES

Once upon a time there was a producer/writer/director named Dan Pritzker. This man shot an entire film based on the life of obscure jazz musician Buddy Bolden titled Bolden, featuring Anthony Mackie from The Hurt Locker and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He finished the film and then destroyed all of the footage. Why? He didn't like it.

To recap, this man wrote, directed, and shot a movie and only decided after all that was done that he didn't like it. Now that Mackie's a big star, he's not returning to reshoot the film, which is what Pritzker is doing this month. According to Batty for Nudity (link below), he's now hired Gary Carr (above), the actor who portrayed Bolden on an episode of Downton Abbey. But wait, it gets better...

Now a source tells me the casting call for this fall’s re-do, and it comes with something I’ve never heard expressed quite this way before. All the women being sought must have “fearless acceptance of full nudity” and not only that. They must also have “fearless acceptance of simulated sex acts.” The warning to casting agents, says my source: “Don’t submit anyone who’s uncomfortable with this.”

Apparently, in the new version of the film Buddy will have a a quartet of “ravenous women” who are loyal followers and sexual partners. (In real life, Buddy Bolden spent his post jazz years, 1907-31, in a sanitarium, where he suffered from alcoholism and schizophrenia.)

Alright, cool beans. What do you think people with a "fearless acceptance of nudity" look like?

Exactly like that.
