Vee From “Orange is the New Black” Talks Getting Nude At 54

In an interview with Access Hollywood (link below), Orange is the New Black star Lorraine Toussaint chatted openly about what it was like to make her nude debut in her 50s, an age when most actresses shy away from that sort of thing.

“You get to a certain age and you think, ‘Oh my God, the train, thank God, has passed me by and then all of a sudden I was at age where I kind of don’t care as much,” she explained.

The actress, 54, said her age lent itself to going nude on camera.

“You should either be nude in your 20s or after your 50s,” Lorraine said. “When you’re in your 20s you really should because, good lord, they are gorgeous! And then [in your] 50s you kind of don’t care.”

Well, I'm certainly glad she didn't care because those are spectacular. She did have some reservations however.

“The role called for it and I made such a commitment to [my character] Vee, [but] I thought of every which way to get around that,” she said of her exposed sex scene. “It was really tough though but once you do it, it’s like what else is there?”

And the actress got some advice before showing off the girls.

“I took a picture and sent it to my agent,” she said with a laugh.

Man, I need to get my hands on that picture.
