Attempt To Sell A Derek Jeter Post-Coital Gift Basket Goes Afoul

Now that he's retired from professional baseball, Derek Jeter has more time to focus on stuff that really matters, like his cologne. Rumors have long dogged the former shortstop that he gives women a gift basket after sleeping with him, but an intriguing item recently popped up on Craigslist in San Francisco, purporting to be one of these mythical gift baskets.

According to Larry Brown Sports (link below), the seller sought to back up her claim that this was the real deal with plenty of lurid details.

It’s common knowledge that women get a basket full of gifts as a thank you for making love to Derek Jeter but I’ve never seen these baskets available as a collectable. I’m ready to part with mine. Derek was giving and generous and I’ve charished this basket for more than a decade. After I removed all the luxury items it’s been used to hold towels and fresh rolls of toilet paper.

This item is sold as is where is. I don’t have a c.o.a. but can describe every inch of Derek as a way of proof if needed.

Though originally listed for $1,950, the listing has since disappeared having been "deleted by its author" meaning that it either sold or was taken down because, and bear with me on this one, the woman was full of shit. Now, before you go thinking that I'm an asshole for saying she's full of shit, allow me to present my case. This is the picture of the basket used in her listing:

This is a picture of an Under the Bed Metallic Woven Basket, which sells for $29 via West Elm. Shit, it's even on sale right now for $23. That exact picture is from the West Elm website. She was selling a $29 basket with none of the good shit that came with it from Jeter, and though she "charished" it so much, she used it as a toilet paper holder, she's now attempting to turn a $1900-plus profit along with sordid details about what Jeter's cock looks like. Now who's the asshole? I'm a Red Sox fan, and even I wouldn't stoop this low.
