It’s Hard Out There For A Japanese Male Porn Star

We all feel overworked at times. We feel that the simplest task is the hardest and we have no idea how we will ever find a way to keep going. But when it comes down to it, no one works harder than a Japanese male porn star. Just ask Shimiken, the hardest working man in porn.  

The 35-year-old porn star has made close to 7000 movies in his porn career; you name it, Shimiken has done it… literally. His movies have ranged from having sex with an ex-pop star to having a threesome with 72 year-old twins. All this hard work is finally catching up with him. He recently stated on social media:  

“There are only 70 male porn stars to 10,000 women,”

“With 4000 new films every month, the number of male actors simply isn’t enough. This industry is like a hole in the wall that needs to get bigger!”

Shimiken typically works seven days a week, six hours a day on up to six different films and while the $30,000 a week is nice—not to mention his five cars—all that plus his strict regiment to keep up his stamina (high-protein diet, 90 minutes of exercise four days a week, no staying up late, and no alcohol) is really hard to maintain. Shimiken hasn’t even taken a vacation in seven years.  

They even have a word in Japan for overworking so much it kills you, karoshi. While a lot of people believe working in porn would be a dream job, it is easy to forget all the hard work that goes into it. For his sake, let’s hope Shimiken gets a much deserved beach vacation soon.
