These Are Some Pretty Sexy Dots

The famous French Post-Impressionist painter Georges-Pierre Seurat is remembered for his innovative techniques known as chromoluminarism and pointillism, in laymen terms painting dots and creating great works of arts like A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. No one has every really been able to capture the greatness of dots until Hiérophante released his new music video for the song “Marketing”.  

Give it up for a French electo-pop musician to honor his fellow Frenchman by using dots of nude women in his video. Sure, Seurat never really dotted up nude women, but I’m sure he would love it. Of course, I don’t really know if Hiérophante was honoring Seurat in his music video, but after watching it a couple of times I felt like it was a work of art. Though, to be honest, I also had a flashback to being a teenager and trying to watch scrambled porn on television. For those of you who don’t know what the hell “scrambled porn” is, it is what people did before the internet. Seriously, we live in a beautiful internet porn-filled world now.  

There are times when I was a music videos and it doesn’t really match the song. In this case, the video really works. But then again, I may love it because it combines two things I love, Seurat style art and nudity.
