Russian-born, Brooklyn-based artist Alexandra Rubinstein is on a mission to put female sexuality in the spotlight, and I'm here for it. Called "A Dream Come True", her latest series features A-list male celebrities - like the Biebs and Jon Hamm - going down on women, as I'm sure they generously do in their personal lives. (Right, guys?) On her website, Rubinstein speaks about the inspiration for the hot, NSFW collection:
"Cunnilingus is censored in mainstream media, rated NC-17 in film, and is under-represented in pornography (compared to the slew of other 'categories'), which reiterates to the viewer that sex is about men and their pleasure. It's not! Aside from intent to saturate the market, the series is largely inspired by the lack of female-targeted pornography available on the internet or print."
Well, OK, you guys have already heard how tired I am of having to explain to people that there is plenty of female-inclusive porn out there should you have the audacity to search somewhere beyond the "Recent Uploads" tab on RedTube, but I understand that kind of content isn't promoted in the mainstream world. (We present a great deal of it here, so please, if you're new, make yourself at home.) Regardless, these paintings are beautiful - I love cunnilingus, you love cunnilingus, and seeing artistic renditions of it, especially in the form of celebrities, is refreshing. Maybe the next time we see it hinted at in a mainstream movie, it won't be rated NC-17.
You know Drake goes down on his woman.
Don Draper in action.
This is probably exactly what James Franco looks like giving head.
Can I solicit a specific celebrity? Because I'm all about commissioning one of Dermot Mulroney. I bet his rugged lip scar would look incredible. My question for you, dear Fleshlings, is this: Why do you think cunnilingus/hinting at clit play is so left out of mainstream movies and shows, whereas blow jobs are fairly normal? This doesn't seem to line up with what actually happens during heterosexual sex across the nation - or maybe I'm just lucky. I'd love to hear your thoughts! And should you decide to give the best-ever holiday gift to your significant other, you can buy Alexandra's prints here.
