Farrah Says She Was "Sex-Shamed" by MTV
The former star of MTV's "Teen Mom" series who went on to star in two Vivid sex tapes Farrah Abraham has filed suit in federal court in Texas against Viacom (the production company that owns MTV) and other parties including one of the show's producers. Abraham filed the documents seeking $5 million from all of the parties claiming they “wrongfully terminated her employment because she did not conform to gender stereotypes.”
Abraham says she was confronted by one of the show's producers at her home in Texas last October. According to the complaint Abraham filed, the show's production crew “harassed, humiliated, discriminated against, disrespected, ridiculed, degraded, and sex shamed Ms. Abraham for her recent decision to pursue opportunities in the adult entertainment industry.”
In a statement, a Viacom spokesperson said to Variety, “We respect Farrah’s decision to pursue other endeavors and we wish her the best. Regarding her suit, the claims are without merit.”
