Popshots of the Week: Flashback Edition

It is estimated that the average time a woman stays in porn is about ten months. In her honeymoon period, she might shoot as many as ten scenes in a week and can often keep up that pace—as long as her strength and sanity hold up—as she makes it around to every last porn company there is. This is usually accomplished in 45 days. Looking through a chunk of photos from 2005, I found that roughly 90 percent of the subjects were no longer in the business, including AVN's Best New Starlet of 2005, Cytherea.

Here's Trina Michaels, a performer of whom we're very fond but who has never become porn-famous. You can see her stripping around the country, for she has very strong legs.

When I took this picture in November 2005, I didn't know who this woman was and I didn't think to ask. After all, everyone else posing was just pulling a boob out here or there but this woman was stark naked. Two years later I met her on the set of "Barely Legal 75" and she was stark naked again! It was only after all those months of mental and physical conditioning that I had the presence of mind to ask her name. This is the delightful Jenny Hendrix.

Before the world fell in love with Joanna Angel, I would have probing conversations with her about her lunch and the Jews. Here she is during one of her first pornic trips to L.A., where she eventually moved (as everyone told her she would).
