We've "known" Michael Gross for quite some time now, in the sense he send us links to his nudie pictures at MikeandMandy.com and we've shared sweet link love with his companion blog, Intelligent Erection. (And honestly, how much closer can people get than that?) As we've become more acquainted with his background, we've also realized that should you ever find yourself sitting next to Mike at bar ... don't give up your stool.
From '60's art school drop-out to creating the look for National Lampoon in the '70s (back when it was funny) to big-time Hollywood producer in '80s to budding porn magnate today (a natural progression, of course), the guy has seen it all—and if you don't learn a thing or two by listening to his stories then you just aren't paying attention. He tells quite a few of those tales to Brooklyn 'zine Chief Mag, and while it's a long read, it's definitely a worthwhile and fascinating one. He's got thoughts on everything from his mobster-influenced childhood to the challenges of launching your own online adult adventure in today's busy marketplace. Plus, the guy made "Ghostbusters." "Ghostbusters." That alone makes him a hero in our book.
