Master Fetish Photography by Gilles Berquet

When we had occasion to credit master photographer Gilles Berquet for his Torture Garden photo in yesterday's post, we realized that we'd never posted about his work before in the entire history of Fleshbot (yes, all three and a half years' worth)—his work has been so much a part of the fine art erotic and fetish photography landscape for so long now that we guess we took him for granted. But if you've never encountered it before, Berquet's work is a revelation even if you don't happen to be into things like latex and corsets and full-body suspensions and models pissing on each other; combining influences that range from the writings of Georges Bataille and fellow masters of the craft like Pierre Moliner and Joel-Peter Witkin, Berquet's work is part surreal, part fantastic, and always very, very hot. When it comes to photos that occupy that delicious space between high art and pure, unadulterated hotness, it doesn't get much better than this.
