Despite the language, there's really not that much of a difference between Japanese and classic American pop music: both feature the same glossy production values, the same catchy melodies, and the same saccharine sentiment. What you won't find in too many videos on MTV, however, is a video featuring two cute JPop stars engaging in some extended psuedo-lesbo foreplay before cinching things with some hot girl-on-girl liplock action at the end, like you will in this clip for the Hello Project's Aya Matsuura and Miki Fujimoto's relentlessly cheery single "Melodies" (even if Antville reminds us that "they really are as lesbian as Tony Blair's a Socialist"). Just make sure you turn down the volume first unless you want that chorus stuck in your head for the rest of the day: unfortunately, that kiss isn't the only thing we can't stop thinking about this morning.
