Bodypainting is perhaps unique among the visual arts in that the viewer usually pays more attention to the canvas than the actual painting on top of it—which is to say that while we're impressed by the considerable artistic talent on display at the Japan Body Painting Museum, there's plenty of opportunities for contemplating all those the nooks and crannies beneath the paint as well. It's a tricky site to navigate if you're not up on your Japanese, but try reading the English language top page and give it a whirl—you'll find that almost every click leads to more artistically embellished, shamrock-headed naked girls. (They still count as naked, right?)
