London-based "conceptual designer" Shiri Zinn's philosophy behind her collection of plumed and bedizened sex toys is simple—er, not: "Her work represents a dynamic fusion of art, jewellery, fashion accessory and product design. It challenges the boundaries between what is deemed acceptable and unacceptable for public consumption, and questions value judgments made by key influencers including media, fashion and product industries." Now we're never ones to make value judgements here at Fleshbot, and we think her work—which has been exhibited at the Museum of Sex in New York City, sold at prestigous retailers Liberty and Coco de Mer in the UK, and featured in dozens of magazines—deserves pride of place on the shelf of any descriminating pervert. Our only problem is some of the materials she uses: sure, those Swarovski crystals and custom silver stand set her Minx model apart from your usual marital aids, but those feathers are going to be awfully hard to clean if you forget to detach them first and wind up getting lube all over them or something. As much as we appreciate sex toys as works of art, sometimes it pays to be practical about certain things as well.
