On The Set at Fuckingmachines

Porn shoots are never as glamorous as you think they're going to be. We've been on enough sets to know that most activity consists of a whole lot of rearranging Krispy Kremes into neat rows, people running around carrying heavy, fragile and expensive equipment, and standing around waiting for something to happen.

But given a small and friendly crew and an engaging subject, any film shoot can be fun. We had a great time watching the Fuckingmachines crew put together their latest masterpiece recently. And talk about your riveting subjects—they don't come any better than the ravishing Satine Phoenix warm to the cold embrace of motor-driven steel. Read (and see) more after the jump.

Thanks to a nasty hangover, we barely arrived on time for the late morning call. But the good mood and professionalism of the folks running the show made everything OK. Photographer Kacho, cinematographer Jeremy and director Tomcat moved together like clockwork, and Satine was bright-eyed and, uh, bushy-tailed.

"Rub your clit, that kind of thing. We'll get you off!" barked Tomcat. And get Satine off they did—this from a woman who bragged, "I can handle whatever you got." We recorded at least three calls for more lube"in our notes, not to mention a trip to the microwave for the hi-tech silicon attachment. "That's so big," said Satine. "But it's warm, like a muffin," Tomcat assured.

Satine was off to LA right after the shoot finished, so we talked to Kink.com's Tomcat about his work

Fleshbot: Thanks for having us—hope we didn't get in the way! When did you start directing productions for Kink.com?

Tomcat: I started work here in August 2004 and I have been directing since April 2005. I became the webmaster for fuckingmachines.com in August, 2005, and I've been fortunate to work with the same talented crew since I started directing for the site.

FB: Who generally gives you more trouble, the machines or the performers?

TC: Both can be cranky. But I enjoy the challenge either way.

FB: Where do the ideas for the machines come from, and who builds them?

TC: Mostly our talented machine shop builds the machines from ideas that are inspired by the director or other kinky minds! Occasionally, we buy machines such as the Sybian.

FB: Are there any advances in Fuckingmachine technology you're eagerly anticipating?

TC: I can't reveal that. Let's just say there are gears at work.

FB: Do you feel like this shoot was a success?

TC: Come on, Fleshbot—I saw that note book in front of your crotch! Just teasing. It was absolutely a success—Satine is an amazingly beautiful woman who enjoys a good shag and has that exhibitionist kink that frees her to really get into the machines and genuinely get off.

FB: How do you feel about working in San Francisco as opposed to, say, Porn Valley?

I love San Francisco. The valley is cool and I wouldn't be opposed to working there someday. But I think it would be hard to bike to my porn job.
