We're not sure why Germany ended up with such a reputation for gender-bending; the answer lies somewhere between Marlena Dietrich's manly growl and all those androgynous-looking Teutonic boys with aquiline features we saw during our last trip to Berlin. Cellina von Mannstein's artsy photography explores both sides of the equation, and in the process she's amassed a portfolio with something for everybody—from hard rock Berliner girls to waifish dudes in mascara.
