About the only thing we can think of that's more disturbing than some of the examples of truly awful ad banner design collected on this circa 2002 website is knowing that someone, somewhere was sufficiently turned on enough by poor image cropping, seizure-inducing animations, and/or the dreaded "penis rugburn" effect to click through and pay for a subscription. Aren't you glad the business of promoting adult websites has gotten more tasteful since then? (Er, don't answer that.)
