Porn star Ryan Driller is definitely one of porn's top leading men, especially in the field of features. Here's what he had to say about what's going on with his celebrated career.

Hello! How have things been with you? Have you been having a good year so far?

"Hello, I’ve been well. Things have been very good this year, so far."

Congrats on your XBIZ Award win for your threeway in Wicked Pictures' “An Inconvenient Mistress”. What did you enjoy most about that scene with Wicked contract star jessica drake and Michael Vegas?

"Thank you. That scene was genuinely a lot of fun. I adore jessica and Michael is a pleasure to be on set with. He and I have had threeways before, too. So, there’s a great level of comfort between all three of us, and I think that Michael and I both enjoyed spoiling jessica."

You also won another XBIZ Award for your sex scene with Gracie Glam in Wicked Pictures' “It’s Complicated”. What do you remember about performing that scene?

"I remember that it was the first thing of the day, so quite the great way to start any day, right? It was a fun, easy scene that Gracie and I had fun with."

Your VR scene in VR Cosplay's “Fuck Bill: A XXX Parody” with Marica Hase and Jessa Rhodes was nominated for an AVN Award. What do you like most about performing in VR scenes?

"The fun aspect to the VR scenes is that it’s a challenge in and of itself. You’re not allowed to really move, breathe or make any sound. So, it’s kind of like having to sneak that you’re having sex. Fortunately, with co-stars like Jessa and Marica, the scenes are that much more fun and easy to be a part of."

Your feature performances are always excellent. What about acting in adult movies fulfills you most?

"Thank you very much for the compliment and recognition. I love bringing to life some of these characters. I think that there’s a lot that porn can offer and do, from the gonzo scenes when you want some quick enticement and want that spur-of-the-moment fantasy to the features where you follow along with the characters and vicariously live through them while you’re watching. Sometimes, the sexiest part of an adult movie is the tension and the flirtation between the characters, and the build up of the relationship between the two. Since we’re able to continue the scene past the “Cut to Candle/Fireplace” of the mainstream movies, we get to bring you fully through the emotions and sensuality of the storyline."

What directors bring out the best in you, in your opinion?

"The hardest part with this question is that for each director that I work with there’s a different feel and act that is being brought out. When I work for Axel [Braun], he’s (typically with me, for Superman) paying attention to and bringing to life the legend and the character that millions of people are so acutely aware and cognizant of. So, while I’m given a little wiggle room for my own interpretation of the character, we’re trying to keep it as close to true as we can, and he’s aiming for that.

With Brad Armstrong, his storylines really keep the characters in a clear path, and it’s easy and great to work with him, given that we all know how and where this is going and are able to hone in those portrayals.

Jacky St. James has stories and characters, and she walks through the scene with you, so that you can give her what she wants, but is also a role that she really kind of had you in mind for, anyway. So, the direction is light, since it’s already you in mind for it, really.

Stormy Daniels gives you a lot of wiggle room to play with and make the character fun and yours, while working with you to make sure it’s still what she envisioned and needs for her movies. I know with her sets, I’ve had a lot of fun building the characters on set with everyone, laughing and joking around to where when we interject, improvise and work the story together, we all enjoy it.

Bree Mills has scripts and scenes that are very powerful and total roller coasters. Her team, with Craven, Billy, Matty, AJ and all, really go through the script and story, and really go through the scene to make sure that she gets the best, strongest performance possible. At times, it’s emotionally and mentally draining, but in the best way possible. You really get to know yourself and tap into parts of you you’d never have expected otherwise.

My Naughty America, PornPros, Nubiles directors are fun, with most of the scenes either being totally improvised, or where I’m not even speaking or on camera, anyway. We’re able to just let loose and have the fun we’d have anyway, camera or not.

So, each director is totally different with a totally different outcome and experience. I enjoy all of the directors that I work with. I know what they’re looking for a particular scene already, so I just want to give them what they want. The occasions that I give it my own spin are usually welcomed and we’re able to respectfully and happily work together with."

What have you learned about women from your many porno interactions with them?

"I wish I could say that I’ve learned so very much about women from my interactions in the industry. Truth be told, most of what I learned was before porn, and has been solidified and verified and actualized in the industry. Women are healthy sexual beings. Each woman is totally different in her arousals and in what gets her off. Every woman will and does tell you exactly what she likes, wants and doesn’t. Women are amazing, nurturing, caring people-- strong, intelligent and perceptive.

Now, in porno-land, I’m in a place where many social constructs and practices are broken down so that communications are clear and concise. Therefore, I have a stronger perception and awareness to this, as the none of us have to speak in hushed tones so others nearby can’t hear the conversation. But, these were all things I already knew. I learn more about women every day, and there’s always more to learn."

What have you been enjoying most about interacting with your fans on social media lately?

"I enjoy being able to have that line of communication between my fans and I, online. I know that there’s always curiosities and it’s always great to give a little back to those that make it possible for me to have my career."

What is coming up for you?

"When I say, “I wish I knew”, I kind of mean it. I’m on the go non-stop with shoots. I do have a big feature with Kay Brandt and Adam & Eve. I’m shooting a bit with Jacky St James for Mile High Media. I’m always on the go with Naughty America, PornPros, Nubiles, Wicked, and everyone. Most of the time, I don’t even really know what studio I’m working for, since everyone kind of shoots everything but keep an eye out on my Twitter for what’s being released."
