Samantha Ryan Interview

With the current trend of musical porn parodies, Samantha Ryan would be the ideal starlet to be casted in them. Her lovely singing voice, remarkable piano playing talents, and gorgeous on-screen presence would be any director's dream. As a matter of fact, it's these qualities that are showcased extremely well in her potential award-winning role for Twisted Passions 6. Futhermore, her newly desired attitude in making Boy/Girl scenes has put her in the forefront for breakthrough artist of the year. It is also important to note that she has been seen on ESPN and the website for Sports Illustrated in supporting her beloved Kansas Jayhawks. Samantha's year should get even brighter and I would not doubt that eventually she reaches mainstream status.  Note: Currently, Samantha is a lovely brunette.

Hi Samantha, how long have you been in the industry, what have been your most pleasurable moments so far? What has been your least pleasurable?

I've been in the industry for over five and a half years now, having started back in the fall of 2006. I would say that my most pleasurable moments have come from my interactions with my fans. Those that truly know me and my work have given me some of the most wonderful comments and many have become my friends. I guess I've had too many wonderful moments with the amazing companies, directors, and people that I have worked with to name just one! But I guess I would also have to say that getting a chance to showcase my talents has been wonderful.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I met a girl in the industry who was also from Kansas and a mother of two. She was sweet as pie and definitely debunked all the typical stereotypes cast upon our industry. I was intrigued. I visited a set with her and saw that it was much like not only mainstream sets, but also any other job. There was nothing sleezy or crooked about it, just a group of people doing something that they love, making good money, and living the lives that they wanted. After struggling in the work force, never being given an opportunity to excel, despite the fact that I did well in school and did amazing work, I at the very least learned that being my own boss was a better direction for me. After pursuing mainstream for many years and never being able to get my foot in the door, I saw an opportunity to propel my life in a forward direction and I took it. In the end, I have learned so many valuable traits that make me even better at what I do. I truly hope to continue showcasing all of my talents to their fullest potential!

In 2009, you had received much praise for your performances in Twisted Passions 5 and 6, as well as Monique's Sex Party. More importantly, your professionalism is highly admired by directors and co-stars. What does all of this recognition and respect mean for your career?

It means that I have had great job security over the past years. It means that I have something to build off of and make a career out of. Many new girls have said that I made their first scene very comfortable and easy because I know how to lead a scene and take the reign so directors have confidence in me that I can always have a great scene. I try to bring out the best in others! It makes me feel good that I can do that for the newer girls because I will always remember how nervous I was in the beginning and how Jamie Brooks took the reigns and made my first on screen girl/girl experience very fun and easy! I never thought the roles would become reversed and I would be the one acting like an old pro! I just hope that more and more people will recognize my talents and that more doors will continue to open for me!

You are breathtaking in Boy/Girl and Girl/Girl scenes. What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy? What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

The traits that I most admire in a woman is strength and confidence. So many women can be jealous and especially working in an industry where your looks are being judged at all times, it is great to see girls that don't let that get in the way and distract from their personality because of insecurities. What makes a woman sexy is one that can laugh at herself and be silly, and physically a great smile, piercing eyes, and a great ass is always nice! Traits in men that I admire would be similar to women but without a sense of ego or narcissism. Too much confidence is just annoying. I like a guy to be down to earth and cool, yet a little crazy like me. I love lots of excitement! A sexy man is tall, dark and handsome baby! Hate to be so cliché, but it's just what I like. I usually tend to like older men for their experience and sense of security in knowing who they are and what they want.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

Well, it's not much of a surprise anymore, but in the beginning it was a surprise to me just how much of a normal job this industry could be. I saw people acting professional, taking things seriously, and in the end, I saw that for the most part. There was a healthy attitude on set, people that were happy at their job, and making good money. That is something you just don't see in every job out there. Some may think this is a crazy job and a line of work that is questionable, but at the end of the day, especially in this economy, it is a fun job that pays well, and that is extremely hard to come by these days! I mean, I get to have sex for a living, who wouldn't LOVE that, if we were all being honest? If people weren't so judgmental, I think there would be a lot more people ready to take the plunge!

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

I would love to work with Belladonna! She is amazing and I have just met her briefly once. I hope I will get the opportunity this year to work with her! I would also love to work with Alexis Texas. Ooooh how I wanna spank that ass! I would love to work with Rocco Siffredi. He is such a legend and I saw him at AVN this year and he's still got it! Honestly, there are too many to name them all. Directors and girls that I want to work with that are with Wicked and Digital Playground, Vivid. I want to work with them all!

How were you as a kid growing up?

I was painfully shy growing up until I became a member of a world class color guard and really had no choice, but to come out of my shell or I wouldn't have been able to do the things I wanted to do. They all required that I get over my shyness. I guess I am still shy in a lot of ways, though. I was a very hard working kid. I got good grades and I just wanted to do my best. I was definitely a tomboy and ran around with the guys. I guess that hasn't changed much! I went to Catholic school and was pretty sheltered in Kansas. I am so glad that I had the guts to explore what is out there and come to California to try and make all my dreams come true!

In Twisted Passions 6, you had the opportunity to show off your superb piano playing and singing talent. When did you first take piano and singing lessons? Is your family musically talented? What are your other hobbies and interests?

I have been playing piano for over 22 years now. I've never had formal voice lessons, it's always something that just came naturally to me. I also played flute when I was in high school and the band used to tune to my B flat, because I have perfect pitch. It is that same quality that helped me become a natural singer because I can always tell when I don't hit the right note! It makes me a bit of a perfectionist though. My family is not extremely musically talented. A few people who have played here and there, mostly piano. Aside from playing piano, singing, and writing music, I also love to indoor skydive, outdoor skydive soon, and I love to be outdoors in general. I also love to read, play poker, travel and explore the world. I am an adrenaline junkie so anything that gives me a good rush!

What's your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

I love being in front of the camera and performing! I love feeling sexy. I love that sex is soooo much more satisfying because I am completely comfortable with my sexuality. Some people might think that this industry would desensitize a person, but in my opinion it has only made it better! And I love that I can drive a man wild with my skills! I love giving blowjobs!

Are there any web sites or future projects that you would like to promote? What are you currently working on film wise?
