2011 Penthouse Pet of the Year Nikki Benz interview

Even though there are numerous awards that female adult stars can win, only a few transcend into mainstream recognition immediately. One of these is the Penthouse Pet of the Year title. As soon as a very fortunate Penthouse Pet is given this iconic status, a multitude of press outlets such as the mainstream media report on the winner. Thus, the regular guy on the street who happens not to be a porn fan may quite possibly hear or read about the current lucky lady. On account of this factor, this year's winner Nikki Benz has a great opportunity to widen her already brewing mainstream appeal as well as hit the very top echelons of our industry. This lovely hard-working woman deserves her title and obtain a larger audience so that they can admire her broad talents. I am very proud to have interviewed Nikki who has impressed me wholeheartedly. 

Hi Nikki, congratulations on being named Penthouse Pet of the Year. It is an amazing accomplishment. I am very impressed in your ever-increasing mainstream status with it's press and audience. How does it feel to obtain this iconic title?

This iconic title is such a huge honor for me.  This is hands down the most prestigious title anyone in the adult entertainment industry could ever receive.  I am thankful for it everyday.  With this title, I feel like my career skyrocketed to a whole new level, both in mainstream and adult.

You are not only gorgeous, but you are a very savvy businesswoman. Your highly successful website has been nominated for an AVN award. Did you always realize that being on the Internet would be an important way to communicate with your fans? They simply adore you Nikki.

Yes, I always knew that internet would play an important role in getting my name, image and brand out there.  It’s a great way for anyone to be able to connect with me, find info on me, and follow my ever-growing career.  Social networking is a big part of my life and my career.  Through twitter, facebook, youtube, and of course nikkibenz.com I am able to keep in touch with my fans, let them know of my upcoming projects and let them be a part of my life, both personal and professional.  It’s a good feeling knowing that my fans do care about me and adore me.  I appreciate their support more than they will ever know.

Not only are you the Pet of the Year, but you also had a remarkable 2010 with your sexual performances. You have two AVN nominations in the Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene category for your work in Deviance 2 and Hocus Pocus XXX. Could you tell us some of your memories of those two scenes or your work in those movies?

Deviance was such a visually stunning movie.  The sex in this movie is off the charts hot!  I have two scenes in Deviance 2, one of them is a girl/boy/boy/boy scene with Charles Dera, Tommy Gunn, Evan Stone and I.  It was my first time ever working with three guys at the same time.  I was in control of the scene from start to finish.  Having three cocks in front of me was such a turn on that I squirted for the first time ever on film in my 8 year career.

Another scene in Deviance 2 was a girl/girl/girl/girl rumble with Teagan Presley, Jenna Haze and Adrenalynn.  We were made up as zombies and shot the entire scene at a morgue in an abandoned mental institution.  I was so devilishly turned on during this scene.  There was just something very sexy about having sex with 3 incredibly hot “dead” girls. Who would of thought that zombie sex could be so good!

You bring a personal sexiness to your scenes. For those people who are not aware of you, how long have you been in the industry, what have been your most pleasurable moments so far? What has been your least pleasurable ones?

I have been in the adult industry for 8 years.  I have a lot of pleasurable moments, so it’s hard to single out one in particular.  I really, really enjoy my work, and sometimes I wouldn’t even call it that.  I consider myself very lucky to be able to go to work and do something that I love. Having sex with beautiful people is a wonderful thing.  My career of course goes beyond just doing sex scenes.  I’m very busy with other projects such as feature dancing, appearing on FoxSports.com’s “Cubed”, hosting parties, attending conventions, constantly doing interviews whether in studio, on the phone or via email.  As well as shooting beautiful magazine layouts.  I love staying busy.  I think my fans love having so many different outlets to see me in. 

The least pleasurable moment would probably have to be those really early call times to come to set.  Sometimes it’s not fun getting up at 5am, but after a Starbucks I am good to go!  Sometimes the amount of travel I do can be very taxing.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I got into the adult industry by contacting an adult film director while I was still living in Toronto, Canada. I did a lot of research about the adult industry prior to taking that plunge. I had to make sure that it was really something I wanted to get into. I sent in my bikini modeling pictures to a director, next thing you know I am being flown out to Florida to film a girl/girl scene for Pleasure Productions.  The owner was so impressed with my performance that they signed me to a contract right on the spot.  Since then I’ve been a contract girl for Pleasure Productions, Jill Kelly Productions, Teravision, then I freelanced and shot for top adult companies until I signed an exclusive performing contract with Penthouse after I became 2011 Penthouse Pet of The Year.

What was the biggest surprise for you when you entered the industry? 

The biggest surprise for me when I entered the industry was how big the male performers dicks were. It took me a while to get used to having “porn sex”. Sex at home is very different from sex on screen.  Now I am such a pro!

I was also impressed at how professional people are in this business. It may be sex, but it’s still a business and for many, a long and successful career.

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

I’d love to work with Manuel Ferrara and Jenna Jameson if she ever came out of retirement.  I heard great things about Manuel, and Jenna is an adult icon to whom I’ve looked up to when I entered this industry.  My dream scene would be a threesome with Manuel and Jenna in church.  I’d be dressed up as a nun, Jenna could be the priest and Manuel is there to pray for his sins.  Oh so naughty!

How were you as a kid growing up?

Growing up as a kid, I was a very good student, yet I was a bit of a trouble maker. I always stood up for what I believed in, so in a way I was a bit of a smart ass. Let’s face it, I still am.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Some of my hobbies and interests include fine dining (I love trying out new restaurants), music (I can’t live without it, I have music on constantly), traveling (I caught the travel bug as a kid, I love exploring new countries and places), and lastly, I love anything to do with technology.  I’m quite the Apple collector.
