Dangerous Curves: XCritic Speaks To BBW Cauc-Asian Superstar Performer, Kelly Shibari

In a way, Kelly Shibari was the first Dangerous Curves girl I featured in this series celebrating large and lovely ladies. Back in August 2011, Kelly made good on her word that she would participate in a fan only bukkake blow bang event when the Japanese Women’s Soccer team won the World Cup over the United States. XCritic interviewed Kelly shortly after the bukkake, making her the first BBW performer to be interviewed by this site, which laid the foundation for the Dangerous Curves series several months later. Since then Kelly and her website, Padded Kink, have released a slew of BBW-themed kink titles, including Overloaded, a DVD that not only contains Kelly’s bukkake, but also includes Kelly’s first anal and double vag scene. Always working promoting the Kelly Shibari name, Fleshlight recently introduced the Kelly Shibari Fleshlight, making her Fleshlight the prestigious sex toy company’s first BBW product. In her speech, Kelly recalled how she was told by Kink.com she wasn’t size appropriate. Not letting it deter her, Kelly defiantly said “Fuck you! I’m going to do it!” It’s been a year of many highs for Kelly. In a way you can say it started with her first XCritic interview where it has now come full circle.

Overloaded is your self-produced DVD. Tell me about it.

It’s my self-produced DVD. It started when the Japanese Women’s team won the World Cup and I said, “If they win then I’ll blow everybody.” Then we narrowed it down to people that were tested. [Laughs]

When you said that were you serious about it or was it said in jest?

I was half joking, half serious. I really wanted people to support the Japanese women’s team because they had been through the tsunami, the earthquake, nuclear meltdowns, and they still won. And it was the U.S. vs Japan. I’m half Japanese, half American. It would’ve been awesome if either team won but in my case, because of what happened in Japan I really wanted to push it. I figured if I did that then people would be really rooting for the Japanese team, which they did. So I’m glad they won. Then people were like, “So when are you going to do it?” I said, “Oh right. I have to do it.” [Laughs] So a month later is when we actually shot it.

Had the Japanese team lost would you had still done something?

I would have done something. I would have done a consolation. I would have done something

Was this the first time you had done something with fans on camera?

Yes. And I figured I would go all out so we had 18 guys. We had over 150 guys that applied but then we said, “You have to be tested,” so that narrowed it down. [Laughs] We had people who flew in from Seattle, San Francisco, one guy came in from New York, so a lot of people so it just wasn’t people from the local LA area.

Some of the guys that are in the bukkake you also performed with again on the DVD.

Right. What happened, we had such good chemistry with four or five of the guys, and I’m a hardcore performer, and in the bukkake blowbang I’m wearing pants. So there’s no actual sex just blowjobs. Since most people know me as a hardcore performer I also wanted to add that in. so we invited a few guys in from the bukkake over. So we ended up doing a threesome scene, a two guy BJ scene, and a fivesome scene. In the middle of all of that we ended doing my first anal scene, first DP, first double vag, frist creampie, and my first anal creampie. We ended up doing a lot of different things.

A five guy scene?

It was a fivesome so it was me plus four guys.

Have you done a gangbang?

No. I would be very interested in doing that. A lot of it is trying to wrap my brain around . . . I’m a people pleaser so if there’s a five people in the room I don’t want to get distracted by too many penises. [Laughs]

It seems you’ve been performing a lot lately. You recently did a film with Wicked.

It’s been a really interesting summer. It was a very slow year than all of a sudden Fleshlight happened, my Wicked shoot with Asa Akira and Misty Stone happened where I play Asa’s mom. It’s a non-sex role but I speak Japanese fluently so that’s why they hired me. Plus Asa and I in makeup, surprisingly, look like we could be related. [Laughs] So we did that for three days. It should be coming out in a few months. It’s called Summer Picnic directed by Barret Blade.

This was the first time you worked with Wicked?

Yes. They are absolutely fantastic. And jessica drake and I are friends.

Is she in the movie?

No, we did some promo stuff on her show on Playboy Radio.

I hear you a lot on the radio. Is that a regular gig you have?

No, I just self-promote like crazy. I do my own PR and marketing. I never hosted. I actually guest hosted on Playboy Radio and Spice a couple of times but I haven’t really done it on my own. I like co-hosting, I don’t know if I can carry a show on my own. But that’s just me being a little insecure. [Laughs]

I think you could. You’re intelligent, articulate, you don’t stutter like I do.

Thank you. I did an Evil Angel shoot recently. Joey Silvera is trying a BBW title. We did a great scene, I saw the photos; the photos look amazing.

How did Fleshlight come about?

I was introduced by the owners at AVN, and at the time they were interested in doing some niche market, alt type stuff. Someone suggested if they were going to do a BBW one then they should talk to me because I do a lot of my own marketing. And Fleshlight is one of those companies that . . . you can’t just be a girl that looks pretty and have a molded toy, and then they do all the marketing? I mean they do a pretty decent amount of marketing on their own but they do rely on the girl to do their own. So one of the reasons I was hired is because I do a lot of my own marketing and PR pushes. I think they’ve seen my work for the past year and they know I don’t create a lot of drama [Laughs] and I like having a lot of fun. That’s my purpose in being in porn is to have fun. They saw that and they said, “Maybe she’s the right choice,” and I’m hoping, keeping my fingers crossed, they made a good choice. They molded me right after the awards in January and the hardest part was trying to keep quiet about it. They wanted to release here at BBW Fan Fest to tie it in because this is the first convention for plus size models.
