Adult Time's Chief Creative Officer Bree Mills has created Up Close, the latest studio on Adult Time's absolutely huge porn site where members have full access to fan-favorite channels like Girlsway and Pure Taboo along with access to over sixty thousand scenes. Hello, Bree! It's great talking to you again. How are things?

"Great to chat with you as well! Things are going very well - we’re in the midst of another busy production year for Adult Time and preparing for the platform’s fifth anniversary next spring. Can you believe it?!"

I'm super happy for you and the site. Congrats on the launch of Up Close! How have fans responded to it so far?

"Thanks! This has been a very personal project for myself and our creative team, who all put in a tremendous amount of effort and passion to bring Up Close to life. While the majority of our audiences watch storyline series, they have nevertheless been quite supportive of our vision to produce a new style of unscripted content featuring their favorite stars. We’ve received a lot of engagement on the format of Up Close so far, and I think everyone can agree that shining a big spotlight on female pleasure in the traditional gonzo space is a sexy thing."

Why is this the right time to put more focus on women's pleasure in your content? What has changed in what people are responding to?

"It’s not that consumers are asking for unscripted content as much as they are seeking more authenticity in the scenes they are watching. We’ve seen a noticeable uptick in subscribers who cite this as being the most important ingredient. For them, authenticity is the feeling that the female is not 'faking it' but is genuinely enjoying herself. We have several series at Adult Time that focus on realistic/relatable characters and stories - but they remain works of fiction. We know there is a huge appetite for gonzo porn so we decided to develop an unscripted studio exclusively based around women expressing and enjoying themselves. I had been interested in docu-series since creating We Like Girls in 2018 but, up until now, it hasn’t been a serious focus of our programming. This was a great opportunity to make it a priority."

What challenges do you find that you face when you try to get these real moments out of performers?

"The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is that asking someone to just be themselves, especially given the type of work we do, is much more challenging than it seems. We treat Up Close with the utmost care and sensitivity, including having everyone pre-screen our interview questions, provide their yes lists for costars, have full visibility on what the production entails, and share some of the final assets with their own content platforms. By being very open about our mission to promote positive female sexuality, we’ve been able to connect with a diverse group of women who also believe in the same mission and are willing to share themselves with the project. We’ve also seen a very positive response from their male co-stars, who look at the studio as a breath of fresh air for them as well. When you get talent on set who are motivated, all you need to do is respectfully capture their experience. That part we’ve got down. :)"

What can fans expect to see in the Up Close series? Who will be in these scenes?

"We’ve built Up Close as the flagship studio to encompass all of our forthcoming unscripted series, so fans can expect a steady stream of How Women Orgasm solo and Up Close With partnered scenes, alongside our podcast conversations and experimental special releases that I’ll be directing. We want to cast a wide net and spotlight talent from all different backgrounds, new and experienced. Special shout out to Anatomik Media, Stella Smut, and Monster Mouth crews for being such amazing collaborators with us so far."

How Women Orgasm is such a special series. What can fans expect to see from the series in the future? Any previews?

"Thanks! How Women Orgasm was another one of my early docu-series projects, so I’m so stoked to formally expand upon it within Up Close. We will be inviting women to share how they authentically masturbate in their private lives and film their experience using a unique multi-angle setup that viewers can enjoy in a split screen format. The original premise of the project was to stay true to asking talent to come as they are with no specific direction or time limits. This resulted in a wide variety of unique experiences to watch - some two minutes long, some thirty minutes long. As we move forward, we have adjusted the duration to be more consistent for our viewers but, otherwise, have preserved the style and intention of the series. We also now offer the full episodes to all participating talent to monetize on their own content platforms."

What is the podcast that you are hosting going to be about?

"There are a couple of principles I strongly believe in. First, I believe that the most powerful form of sexual expression is communication. If we want to encourage more dialogue around consent and sexual communication in civilian lives, we need to start by spotlighting the conversations themselves within adult content. I also believe sex workers are important role models for women if treated with respect and given the right platform. The Get Up Close Podcast will be a weekly podcast series, offered on all major platforms, where I sit down with the women we work with for Up Close and have candid conversations about female sexuality, sexual health, and the experiences and advice they’d offer others.

What can fans expect to see coming up on Adult Time? What do you think that they should check out other than Up Close?

"We are about to drop Ricky Greenwood’s Feed Me feature on September 19th and our very first original gay studio, Heteroflexible, in October! I’m also doing a lot of creative collab projects with talents, who want to work with Adult Time to help bring their ideas to life. So stay tuned for those to come out across our various series."
