Say It Isn’t So! Women Love Online Porn, Too!

Common “wisdom” tells us that women hate porn because reasons. Reality does not support this commonly held belief. Way back in 2015, 75 percent of female survey respondents reported watching porn online within the previous six months. Three years later, that number rose to 81 percent. By 2020, nearly 40 percent of porn consumers were women. That number probably has not decreased. Given all that jilling off, why is so much porn made exclusively for the “male gaze?” Click here.

Female Porn Fans, is Parthenogenesis for You?

Given how many women are warming to the idea of porn, sex toys, and not rushing into marriage, it’s not a surprise that the birth rates are dropping. But what if women didn’t need men to reproduce? Is that even possible? If it is, what would the baby look like? The good news is that yes, parthenogenesis is a reality! The bad news is that it’s not something mammals get to do. If you’re a snake, gecko, lizard, shark, or possibly even a dinosaur, congratulations, it’s a girl! Click here.

Patriarchy Isn’t Natural to Primate Societies, So – Grrl Power!

Humans are closely related to apes, chimps, and bonobos. Scientists have assumed that primates structure their societies in a patriarchal hierarchy. Recent research says that ain’t necessarily true. In fact, primates have a variety of intersexual power structures, with a surprising number of them female dominant and others thriving with greater sexual equality. Makes you wonder about human myths about men and women. Click here.

Is It Time for a “Sleep Divorce” to Avoid a Legal One?

The Flintstones did it. Lucy and Rickie did it. My parents did it. What is “it?” It’s a “sleep divorce,” which is a horrible name for something that can save relationships, spice up sex, and result in better sleep. All it takes is for a couple to choose not to share the same bed. There are many reasons to choose twin beds or a split king, among them snoring, CPAP noise, sleep schedules, temperature preferences, sleepy-time sprawling, and more. Click here.

Do Blue Whales Have Hot Flashes During Menopause?

Although female mammals can’t have babies through parthenogenesis, we can enjoy the glorious fun-time we call “menopause.” And it’s not just human mammals that go through the “change of life,” it’s any mammal that lives long enough. Alas, this rarely happens in the wild. Of course, it depends on how you define “menopause,” since most mammals do not menstruate, but under favorable conditions or in captivity, they can outlive their fertility. Click here.
