It’s time for another round in our spicy Hot Ones series, and this one’s a sizzler. (Missed our second roundup? Click here to check it out.) These daring dames brave 10 levels of hot sauce heat while chatting it up with Hot Ones host Sean Evans. Here is this week’s top five in our series:

Jenna Ortega

We know Jenna Ortega from her Imagen Award-winning role on the Disney Channel’s series Stuck in the Middle and her early role on the CW’s Jane the Virgin. Today, we’ll remember her for the way she handles the sauce.

“Sweet little baby wing,” is how the actress refers to wing 1. Wing 2 is simply too easy for the star, and wing 3 has lots of flavor. She’s on a roll with wing 4, loving the way it tastes, but it’s wing 5 that reminds Jenna she’s on the Hot Ones. The heat starts to kick in, and Jenna knows exactly where this is headed. Wings 6 and 7 don’t break the beauty, but wing 8 (da bomb) makes her scared as her eyes well up. With da bomb behind her, she coasts to wing 10, calling it “delicious.”

Amelia Dimoldenberg

Someone who interviews celebrities in fried chicken joints should know a thing or two about hot condiments. British comedian and presenter Amelia Dimoldenberg takes her shot at handling the heat and she’s off to a rocky start. “That’s hotter than I thought it would be,” she says on wing 1. She’s got 9 more to go. Wing 2 is nice and Amelia can taste the passion fruit on wing. She loves it.

Wing 4 is like ketchup, but it’s wing 5 that makes Amelia do a double take. “That’s spicy,” she admits. “It’s happening,” she says on wing 6. She breezes through wing 7, but it’s on wing 8 (da bomb) that Amelia is stopped in her tracks. She uses a mini fan to cool the searing heat on her tongue. She can barely speak now. She gets herself through wings 9 and 10, telling Sean she wants to do it all again.

Aubrey Plaza

Who could forget Aubrey Plaza’s comedic role on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation? She has made us laugh, and now, we might watch her cry from her climb up the Scoville Scale. Wings 1 and 2 are satisfying for Aubrey. She wonders if Sean is really going to watch her eat the whole wing each time.

This cool actress eats through wing 3 with no reaction, but she takes a sip of coffee with wing 4. “I like coffee with my spices,” she explains. Wing 5 makes Aubrey’s noise run and she admits that wing 6 is hot. “You got me,” she says. Aubrey is hallucinating on wing 7 and once she takes a bite of “da bomb” (wing 8), she yells, “Ow!” Things get out of control when Aubrey inhales milk through her nose and spits it out of her mouth. “Do you think I could put the milk in my eyes,” she asks about wing 9. On “the last dab” (wing 10), Aubrey simply says, “no.”

Emma Chamberlain

“Breakout” youtuber and podcaster Emma Chamberlain tries her chops on the Hot Ones. As we suspected, wings 1 and 2 are simply delicious. Emma chews right through them. Wing 3 is “Emma approved!” It’s wing 4 that brings a reality check for Emma. “OK, now I know what the show is about,” she says.

Wing 5 “hurts really bad but it’s so good,” she chuckles. Wing 6 sends her reaching for a glass of milk, and she describes wing 7 as “really bad.” But how will she do when she takes a bite of “da bomb.” Wing 8 causes her to yell “Ow!” Wing 9 burns so good, and she totally regrets taking a bite of wing 10.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Well-known actress and comedian Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been described as one of the greatest performers in television history. We all want to know how she’s going to perform when confronted with the sauce on the Hot Ones.  Wings 1 and 2 are “easy peasy.”  She reiterates that she’s fine when she eats wing 3, and she tells everybody to relax.

Wing 4 is a change of pace. “This is getting too hot,” she tells Sean.  But wing 5 isn’t bad for the actress. It’s not an issue. “I do not care for that,” is her description of wing 6, and she doesn’t like wing 7 at all. On wing 8, Julia threatens to fire her publicist and hire a lawyer! Wing 9 makes her wipe her watery eyes with a napkin. Wing 10 leaves her coughing.

Jenna Ortega, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Aubrey Plaza, Emma Chamberlain, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus have walked the hot sauce gauntlet and got burned!
