Porn In Public In 2024? The HUMP! Film Festival Part 2 Is On Tour!

Hey Fleshbot fans! A few short months ago, I wrote about my experience at Dan Savage’s HUMP! Film festival for 2024. There were apparently so many great film submissions this year that an entire second tour with a fresh batch of films was needed so I got my ticket and headed out for this unique experience.

I attended the Baltimore stop (at the fabulous Creative Alliance) on the Part Two tour this past Saturday, October 26, and it was so awesome. I got to watch 25 adult films for my early bird ticket price of $15, less than most mainstream movie tickets. They are a maximum length of five minutes each, but they manage to pack a lot into a small package. A short film, like a short story, really needs to get straight to the point.

It was tough for me to pick a clear favorite film from Part 1 but I definitely had a favorite in Part 2. Being a Pagan and devotee of Pan, I loved Pansexual so very much. The tone was perfect and portrayed a playful and consensual romp in the woods between Pan and a sexy and nubile human. The selection for Part 2 seemed to include lots of entries featuring gay male sex but tons of genders and orientations were represented on the whole. I personally enjoy watching humans of all stripes fucking, so that’s not a problem for me. I would be in the wrong job if I didn’t.

I really enjoyed BunnyXGator as well, both for the bold choices of featuring primal animal roleplay and blood, and the casting of a hot and fierce fat person as the Gator. The sheer WTF award from me goes to Spacetrip Do You Wanna which I can only describe as a smutty acid trip with a hell of an earworm song. The program included some very appropriate seasonal offerings for spooky season (Horned, Pumpkin Guts) and some really innovative camera techniques (Macrogasm, Full Body Blush). I just enjoyed all of the films and the shared group experience of consuming this media.

Anyone who is of legal age can make a movie and enter it for consideration to be shown at HUMP! There doesn’t seem to be a lot of rules on amateur versus professional performers being in the films, as long as the films are independently produced. The only rules on content are no poop or animals, which leaves the floor wide open in terms of sex and kink acts. If selected, filmmakers receive a portion of ticket sales and are also eligible for viewer-chosen awards. Votes are collected from attendees online after their screening.

HUMP! 2024 Part Two is touring through November 16, after which streaming options will be announced for the films from the second part of the tour. If you missed the films from Part One, those and many others from past years are available to rent as part of the extensive streaming library on the HUMP! website.
