Then Again, Does It Matter?
Today's most prevalent dress trend (and I would know, as I belong to the Dress Demographic) is the see-through variety that only has an opaque underlay (or, you know, not) where your private bits are. In my opinion, these dresses are essentially glorified lingerie, but hey, who am I to comment? I love the trend. It's very lacy and sparkly. Anyways, the latest celebrity photoshoot to capitalize on the "It's an apron! It's Victoria's Secret! Nooooo, it's a designer dress!" trend is Miley Cyrus for Elle Magazine.
In many ways, this surprises us not at all, as Miley Cyrus has appeared nude in many a magazine at this point. The outspoken starlet is a vehement member of the #FreeTheNipple campaign and thinks the taboo of nudity as a societal construct is silly - just like us! There is something great about a dress that alludes to so much without quite showing it, though. If you zoom in really close (trust me, I did), you can see nipple and butt crack, though no bush. My only question is this: Is it legal for the rest of us to wear this out and about?
Asking for a friend, of course.
