A Guide to AVN’s Best All-Girl Movie Nominees

The best of the year's lesbian porn gets winnowed down to one (or two, if there is a tie) releases in this AVN Award category, and since you Fleshbot readers love the girl/girl fare so much, I figured giving this category some time here would be a good call. I have named my favorite scenes from these releases, but feel free to tell me that I am full of crap and be sure to name your favorite of these titles below.

"Accidentally Lesbian 2" from Forbidden Fruits/Exile

My favorite scene—AVN MILF Performer of the Year nominee Jodi West gets it on with retired porn star Callie Calypso. Fuck, I miss Calypso. She was such a fucking pretty porn star. 

"Angela Loves Women" from AGW/Girlfriends Films

My favorite scene here? Performer/director Angela White has a Best Scene nomination for her tryst with Celeste Star, but I always love seeing Dani Daniels get it on with anybody, so that is my pick. Here's Tucker Bankshot's review of this title.

"Angels and Devils" from Hustler Video

This very pretty movie has a lot of pretty angel/devil lesbian action in it, and I have to go with AVN on this one. The best-scene-nominated threeway with Zoey Monroe, Keira Nicole, and now-retired performer Natasha Voya is beautiful to behold.

"Anikka's Bootycise" from BAM Visions/Evil Angel

AVN's reigning Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite gives us a lot of lesbian anal play to love in this release, but my favorite scene has All-Girl Performer of the Year nominee Jenna Sativa and Albrite getting it on vigorously.

"The Business of Women" from Girlsway/Girlfriends Films

This noir feature from Girlsway has a lot going for it, and a threeway with Abigail Mac and All-Girl Performer of the Year nominees Shyla Jennings and Vanessa Veracruz is nominated for Best All-Girl Group Scene. I personally love how Veracruz dominates the fuck out of Mac in a scene the two have together in this release.  

"Buttslammers" from Airerose/Pure Play Media

Here's my review of this. Looking back on this release, I have to say that the pairing between Bonnie Rotten and AVN Female Performer of the Year nominee Kleio Valentien is my favorite. I love how they look together, and they challenge each other in their pairing.

"Girlfriends" from Wicked Pictures

This is Wicked's first all-girl feature, and it was written/directed by Wicked contract performer/director Stormy Daniels. It's an excellent coming out drama starring Casey Calvert, and there is a killer strap-on scene with All-Girl Performer of the Year nominee Lily Cade boning August Ames most righteously. So yummy.

"Girlfriends 8" from Third Degree Films

AVN Hall of Famer Mike Quasar directed this, and he loooooooves lesbian scenes and this series of his is delightful. My favorite scene of the four in this is Nicole getting her world turned upside down by the sexual dynamo that is Asia fuck doll Kalina Ryu. More lesbian Ryu scenes in 2016, please!

"Girls Kissing Girls 17" from Sweetheart Video/Mile High Media

Directed by AVN Hall of Famer Dana Vespoli, the slumber party threeway from the cover between All-Girl Performer of the Year nominee Kenna James, Female Performer fo the Year nominee AJ Applegate, and Aidra Fox is splendid. I dig it oodles.

"Lesbian Cheerleaders" from Addicted 2 Girls

Two! Four! Six! Eight! Quasar directed this, and it's really great! Three! Five! Seven! Nine! The scene with Chanell Heart and Val Dodds is super fine! Yay!!!!

"Lesbian Desires 3" from Babes/Pulse

There is a knockout, killer cast in this all-girler, but if I had to pick one scene from this—and I am making myself do that—I would go with Abigail Mac and Ashley Sinclair getting their rocks off together in the first scene. They are both so damn pretty.  

"Me and My Girlfriend 10" from Girlfriends Films

Directed by Tammy Sands, my fave scene here has Digital Playground contract star Eva Lovia getting all close and personal with AVN Female Performer of the Year nominee Riley Reid. Delightful and truly memorable stuff.

"Pink Velvet" from Vivid Entertainment Group

Directed by the always fabulous AVN Hall of Famer Kimberly Kane, who totally could teach a master class on girl/girl sex, the scene with Kristina Rose and Charlotte Stokely got nominated for Best Girl/Girl Scene. I personally liked the Ashley Fires/Kane pairing better because Fires is just fucking great at getting other chicks off and she gives Kane a damn good time.

"Seduction Diaries of a Femme" from Adam & Eve Pictures

Director Dana Dane directed this period vignette piece, and I loved hippie chicks Mia Austin and Morgan Lee showing that they are into peace, love, and cunnilingus.

"The Turning" from Girlsway/Girlfriends Films

This one has a shit ton of nominations, including Adriana Chechik for Best Actress and Albrite for Best Supporting Actress. The scene AVN chose to nominate in this great flick was the group scene with Chechik, AVN's reigning Best New Starlet Carter Cruise, Jelena Jensen, and All-Girl Performer of the Year nominee Tara Morgan, but seriously, just go and watch the whole thing. It's one sexy lesbian vampire bit of business.
