"Growing up, I was always focused on my studies; however, when I got to high school, that's when I found my wild streak and started partying and hanging out with boys more. I was scared of failing high school and getting pregnant, so as much as I loved to ditch the last class for some drug-related or naive teenage reason, I still tried to finish my homework on time and never let any guy put it in me 'til I was eighteen."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

"The only thing porn-related I was familiar with was Jenna Jameson. She just came out with her book when I was in high school and this girl was reading it. I had nothing against porn, I just assumed porn was only big-breasted, beautiful, tall blonde women. It wasn't until I had stumbled into the industry that I was introduced to the array of pornography out there, [the] different niches and kinds of talent there are. My favorite porn stars that I came across when I first started were Katsuni and Belladonna. I had never gotten the chance to work and explore with Belladonna, however, I was fortunate to work with the gorgeous sensation Katsuni."

How did you come up with your porn name?

"I was adamant about legally changing my name at the time, and when my first agent didn't like the alias I was using then, I started suggesting names I had in mind to change to, one of them being Lana Violet. On a side note, out of total coincidence, since I had anal sex before vaginal sex, a former talent had thought I chose Lana because it's spelled anal backwards. It's not how I came up with my name, but makes for a better story, LOL."
