Why Does The Miss America Organization Hate Boobs?

The Miss America Organization finally came to their senses and apologized to Vanessa Williams for taking away her crown simply because she posed nude in some photos. Now it seems another former contestant is awaiting her apology. Jennifer DeLora, Miss Ulster County 1986, was forced to surrender her crown and not compete in the Miss New York pageant all because she showed her boobs in the film Bad Girls’ Dormitory.  

Yep, it would it appear that the Miss America Organization banned DeLora from competing due to a 10 second topless shower scene in a 1984 B-movie. DeLora received a letter stating that being topless in a movie violated pageant rules, but the Miss America Organization feared if she won there would be a ton of bad press. For her part, DeLora claims her shower scene was far less explicit then the pictures of Vanessa Williams. Either way, the Miss America Organization should probably just go ahead and send her an apology as well. If a woman wants to show her boobs in photos or in a movie, that shouldn’t disqualify her from being crowned Miss America. 

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—with technology being what is today, it will be odd if someone doesn’t have a nude picture of themselves somewhere on the Internet in the future. I think the Miss America Organization is starting to figure that out.
