Kimberly Kane Is A Woman to Adore in Noir in Vivid's "Family Secrets"

Performer/director Kimberly Kane recently helmed "Family Secrets" for Vivid, a neo noir mystery feature that she stars in with Penny Pax, AVN Hall of Famer Kylie Ireland, Claire Robbins, and Princess Donna with AVN Hall of Famer Steven St. Croix, Tommy Pistol, retired performer Danny Wylde, and Richie Calhoun. Talented Kane co-wrote the feature with Rex Owen, and she is one of those performers that I would and seemingly can expect anything from. Her sexual/sensual curiosities and lust for life know no bounds, and her reward for that sense of adventure has been AVN Awards and a fan base that will accept no substitute for her beauty and wit. Here are her answers to twety questions about her life and career: 

What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with and date?

"Smokers and loners," she said in an email interview. 

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars and favorite porn movies?

"I got into porn in my late teens, I liked tattooed chicks. I saw a few videos of Lola and Belladonna and thought they looked awesome."

What do you like most about directing for Vivid?

"Vivid gives me a lot of artistic freedom in every aspect of the movie-making process, and they're very supportive. Great people to work with."

What or who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

"I always wanted to bang Rocco, but it never happened. Plus he retired and I haven't done a b/g scene in 2 years so that ship has sailed."

Who is your favorite male performer and female performer to work with and why?

"The best were Belladonna, of course. Aiden Starr, Bobbi Starr, Dana DeArmond, and dudes, who cares about them?"

You seem to really love your Kane Army. Tell me how having this fan base has changed your life.

"I no longer have to work for other companies since launching kaneclips.com over three years ago. I do scenes on occasion for producers that I like, but I mainly work for myself now."

What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

"Doggy is great, it just works every time."

What do you love most about your character in “"Family Secrets?"”

"Detective roles are really fun to play. I like playing a hard-ass cop."

How does it feel to have won a shit ton of awards for your work?

"Feels pretty good."

What are the best things about being a porn star? About being a director?

"Living in L.A., people are really liberal and open. I've met some of the most interesting people in the world living here and doing what I do."

What do you remember most about making the two “Sex Files” parodies? Are you a fan of The X Files?

"I love the X Files, and I've seen every episode at least three times. Again, I love playing a cop/FBI agent. It's so fun to run around with a gun and chase down the bad guys."

What are “must-own” DVDs for your fans?

"All my Vivid-Alt stuff. Everyone should own or see Vivid-Alt. There will never be anything like that ever again."

Who are your role models in porn and how or why do they inspire you?

"Aiden Starr is someone I look up to as a friend and an inspiration. She's what I like to call a compassionate dominate. It's a very special thing."

Whose performance in “"Family Secrets"” moved you most?

"I think Steven St. Croix knocked it out of the park. He's an intimidating actor because he's so good."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

"Mad Max was pretty crazy."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

"Well, the best porn movie ever made is John Stagliano's Fashionistas."

Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

"Hitachi girl."

If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be? Give us your male and female choices.

"I've fucked the best porn stars in the world. A celebrity would be amateur hour."

What is coming up for you?

"I've been hosting a food show on Vice.com in their food section called Munchies. The show is called Sex+Food and it's been an awesome experience. I also just shot (photographer) a celebrity directed shoot for Penthouse that's coming out soon. I think people will be really excited about it. It's not your average Penthouse layout. But most days I'm shooting for Kaneclips.com."
