Relationships are tough, even the good ones. As for the bad ones, it’s often easy to pass them off as a mistake, but sometimes they actually can do some good. In the case of UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, she credits her creepy ex-boyfriend with getting her to pose nude for the cover of ESPN magazine.
Sadly Rousey’s ex, whom she lovingly calls "Snappers McCreepy," didn’t encourage her to pose nude by positive reinforcement. Instead, Rousey posed nude to beat him to the punch, so to speak. Rousey found a bunch of nude pictures (mostly of her ass) on his computer, and Snappers McCreepy was using the nude photos on social media sites to promote an upcoming fight. One look at the photos and Rousey figured out how he got nude pictures of her.
"You know when you're just comfortably naked around somebody... I just thought that he was on his phone texting people."
So, after finding the pictures she deleted them and decided to pose for the 2012 Body Issue of ESPN The Magazine, because she as put it:
"If there's naked pictures out there, I'm going to go take naked pictures myself and I'm going to put it out there on my terms.”
Good for Rousey, though it probably wasn't wise to piss off an MMA fighter with an 11-0 record. While I wish her original decision to pose nude would have been because she has an amazing body, I’m just glad she did decide to pose at all.
