‘Orange Is The New Black’ Writer Ditches Her Hubby For Some Poussey

Orange is the New Black is helping people come to terms with their sexuality all across this great land of ours. It's even helping members of the writing staff to realize that they're in loveless marriages, are actually lesbians, and really want some Poussey, which is exactly what show writer Lauren Morelli did.

According to People (link below), Morelli realized she was a lesbian when she wrote the scene where Piper (Taylor Schilling) got fingerbanged by Alex (Laura Prepon), but her attraction to actress Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey, came later.

"I realized I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set," wrote Morelli. 

And while writing Alex and Piper's relationship for the hit show, Morelli shared she "constantly felt like a fraud." 

"I was sure it was bleeding into my writing. How could it not? I was married to a man, but I wasn't straight." 

Morelli added: "I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen. And now, as we are gearing up for the release of Season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you." 

Well, they're a very cute couple, and I wish them all the best. You gotta feel bad for the poor schmo that married her though, though not too bad, because now that this story's out there, I'm sure he's getting plenty of Poussey too.
