FLESHBOT EXCLUSIVE–Twenty Questions with Brandi Love

1) What kind of girl were you back in high school?  Who did you hang out with/date?   

I was your every day "vanilla" young lady LOL! I grew up in an upper middle class, conservative family with an infamous history. I was heavily involved in sports including ice skating,  tennis & track so I was busy all the time.  My friends were pretty diverse including peers from just about every social group with maybe the exception of the "burnouts".  While I was always welcomed by the "popular kids", I was never fully part of their clique because I was so diverse.  Most of the guys I dated were either "jocks" or "preppies". And you know ... I was actually kind of a prude lol!    

2)  Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry?  Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?  

That is actually a tougher question to answer than you might think! Until November 2000 I was fairly anti porn. Growing up in a family split between Presbyterian & Southern Baptist ideals and feeling like I had to compete with porn for the desires of my men left me feeling fairly bitter with respect to porn. But then came the "revelation" and the all important turning point in November 2000. It was then that my husband & I had a breakthrough of sorts and my views about marriage, sexuality and feminism changed forever. I would have to say that my favorite movies of that time were those produced by Andrew Blake, Wicked Pictures and Michael Ninn. I still like sex that is naughty ... passionate & yet classy.          

3) What do you think shaped you into the great MILF performer that we see in your porno?   

An insatiable desire to be who I was born to be. Whether the business is adult entertainment, wine, fashion etc. I was born a passionate woman and I bring that passion with me wherever I go. I believe that passion runs deep in my DNA back to my great grandfather Jessie L Livermore I, through to Jessie L Livermore II and even my father. Nature only can take you so far however and without the nurturing of my incredible husband, none of this would have been possible. People say all the time " Your husband is so lucky" ... While I think he would agree, I can tell you that I feel like the lucky one to have the support of a man I've been married to for 20 years now. Last but certainly not least, the fans. I'm pretty active in social media and hearing from the fans that they can see and feel the passion in my scenes is a huge turn on. It drives me to lose myself in a scene. To really let go and truly enjoy an intense exchange. 

4) What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet? 

Wow! Thats a challenging question! In many ways I feel like I'm just getting started. If you consider that I really began exploring the depth of my desires in 2000, started my site in 2004, and began shooting for the big studios in 2011,  then I'm still a sexual newbie! There are so many facets to human sexuality and if it turns me on then I'll be willing to shoot it.  Off the top of my head I can tell you that I would love to shoot more MFM, parodies and features but honestly... if it's hot ... I want to shoot it! As far as the question of "who" ... all that matters to me are a couple of things: (1) There is chemistry (2) that they are not active or recent "crossover's".     

5) Who is your favorite male performer/female performer to work with and why? 

I honestly don't have a "favorite" male / female performer. I'm a variety girl! Always have been .. always will be.  What I can tell you however is that I love working with men and women who have as much passion for sex ... and for the scene as I do. I really care about how a scene makes the viewer feel. I want them to feel how ravenous I am. I want them to feel the intensity and as they say it takes two to tango.      

6)  You check in with your fans a lot on Twitter.  Tell me how reaching your fans through the internet has changed things for you.   

 Twitter is a remarkable vehicle for communication. I have done more business and have communicated with more fans via Twitter than every other platform combined. It's not without it's challenges but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Twitter has specifically changed things for me in three important ways. (1)  Fan interaction and response,  especially when they @ the studios drives demand. I only travel out to LA every third month for 15 days & in the past two years I have been booked every day I'm there. It's demand that's driving that & demand comes directly from the fans. (2) Media exposure.  It's a different world. Every single television show,  radio interview, speaking engagement etc has been initiated through Twitter. (3) Mainstream Opportunities. I just returned from a whirlwind, two week, exploratory business trip to Italy that has nothing to do with adult. I have no idea what may materialize in the future as a result of that trip but I can tell you this, I have made connections that would have never been possible without Twitter & I'm very excited about what may come of all this.    

7) What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

On camera,  I love positions where I'm facing the camera.  I love knowing that the viewer can see my face while I'm getting fucked. If anyone doubts whether or not I truly love what I do .... just look into my eyes or at my facial expressions lol. Now in my personal life that same psychology is true so I tend to prefer either missionary or me on top.  I want my lover to be able to see the passion in my eyes and through my facial expressions. And in turn, I want to see his ... or hers ... or both! There is also something primal and very sexy about feeling the weight of a man on top of me.  I love that!    

8)  How is being in the business as a MILF performer different from when you were a younger performer?   

One of the reasons I work so hard to stay in top shape all year is because I want to be able to shoot both MILF and non MILF scenes. I feel very fortunate because the non MILF scenes tend to be parodies like This Ain't The Game of Thrones XXX and features while the MILF niche continues to be a powerhouse. I feel very lucky to have come into the adult industry in my "MILF'y" years. I didn't start in adult until I was an age that would be considered MILF. I had already experienced college,  marriage , corporate life, starting my own business etc etc. I knew that I needed to craft a career rather than just shoot a scene or make a quick buck. I also wanted to somehow .. in some small way ... cause people to rethink what it means to be a sexual woman and a wife and mother. It's not only ok ... it's the way it should be.     

9)  What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be better in bed with her guy? 

Let go of your inhibitions. If there is one thing I have learned about men and women sexually speaking, it's that we ALL have our own particular kinks. Let go of your insecurities, enjoy the gift of pleasure and explore. You never know what might trigger that primal response in you. Men KNOW when you are holding back, when you are trying to get him to cum quickly,  when you are judging his desires etc ... that can not only kill the moment but it can, over time kill a relationship. In short.. Dare to be Deviant!

10)  What are the best things about being a porn star?  How has it made your life more fulfilling?  

Honestly I could write a book on just this one question because a career in adult done correctly can be on of the most fulfilling journeys in a woman's life. But for the sake of brevity I'll bullet point LOL!  

A. It's the worlds most pleasurable activity: No matter the country or study,  the worlds #1 & #2 most pleasurable activities are sex & masturbation. Sometimes sex is #1 sometimes masturbation is.  I get to call that work. Pretty damn lucky!  

B. It's lucrative: Let's face it,  we all need to make a living. I believe I earn / deserve it but I get to make doctor money doing what I love. That's awesome!  

C. The hours are flexible: Either I or my husband or both are there for the kids every morning and there when they get home from school. We never miss a play, an event, dinner with friends etc because ultimately we are in charge of our schedule. There is a tremendous quality of life that accompanies that kind of flexibility.

D. I can work from my home office 50% of the time:  While I don't shoot at home,  most of what my husband and I do is "technical".  Updating & building websites, online marketing, managing servers, managing finances etc.  Working from home is an invaluable gift for those who are disciplined enough.  

E. I meet amazing people:  I mean come on ... If I were still working for Harley Davidson,  or my husband in Biotech we would have never met people like Howard Stern, Penn & Teller, Tyra Banks, Al Bernstein, Andrew Zimmern, Chad Kroeger etc.  And my co-workers ... a hell of a lot more fun lol!    

F. I have incredible adventures:  I have had adventures that the most affluent of my friends look upon with amazement. Experiences .. adventures are what make life worth living and I've had more than two lifetimes full.   

G. I have a great family life. I've been happily married for almost 20 years now.  The "happy" is in part because we get to explore one of the "Big 3", meaning sex, together ( Sex, Money & Kids ).  What's interesting is the happier we are ,  the more money there seems to be which takes care of 2 of the "Big Three".

H. And last but not least I get to spend a tremendous amount of time with my kids who are happy, well adjusted, all honor roll super stars. My career in adult has me home and engaged with my family more than anyone else in our neighborhood and they work in health care, law, auto industry, technology, education, entrepreneurs etc.               

11)  What do you think is your hottest scene?

There have only been three scenes where I actually didn't orgasm so for me personally 97% of the scenes have been hot LOL! I can always tell which scenes are hot from the fan response and from the advertisements companies choose to create from my scenes. They wouldn't be using particular snippets of content if it wasn't driving sales.  It tells me volumes! 12) What goals do you have for yourself as a performer that you are working towards?  

I am looking forward to having my best year yet! I know that the viewers haven't seen the best of Brandi Love. Not because I haven't been putting my best forward but because there are always ways to improve. I have been working with a voice and acting coach over the past 9 months and have really been exploring different areas of sexuality in my private life. I'm ready to try some things outside of what I have typically shot ..( but that doesn't mean anal .. sorry guys LOL!) My short to mid term goal is really quite simple, I want to continue performing until the passion I feel for something else is greater than the passion I feel for adult entertainment. Or ... until people are sick of watching me LOL! Long term, I would like to work with someone to develop a way for performers to TRULY make long term, viable careers out of adult entertainment that would continue even after they stop shooting consistently.  

13)  You always seem like a team player in your scenes and that you definitely work towards making a movie better than it might be otherwise.  What would you say to performers who don’t behave like you that way?  

I really appreciate the compliment! I'd say keep doing what your doing because your indifference keeps me busy LOL! There is a great quote that I reflect upon daily "I have what I have given." I try to live that way. And while I don't always succeed, I have seen that it's true.     

14) What can we look for in your upcoming releases?

While the studios control the release dates & I haven't been able to find a pattern as to when or why they release what they do, I can tell you that there are quite a few scenes that haven't been released yet!  I'm really looking forward to the release of Wicked Pictures / Brad Armstrong feature entitled: Aftermath. It's the first big budget, non parody feature that I have been involved with and it required actual acting (bites fingers nervously) I hope my acting lessons have paid off! In addition to Aftermath there are a number of scenes set for release where I do what I do best ... using youngsters and men for my pleasure!    

15)  What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently? 

I'm really not that big of a movie goer.  I'd rather go to concerts ,  the theater ,  sporting events etc.  If this tells you anything,  the best movies I have seen at the theater recently were Skyfall, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows & Star Trek Into Darkness! Now I am a huge TV drama junkie. I think that HBO, Showtime and others are producing some fantastic entertainment. Some of my active favorites are: Game of Thrones, True Detective, House of Cards, Ray Donovan, Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Shameless, Californication, & American Horror Story.  

16) How about the best porno movie?  Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now? 

So... I watch a lot of porn LOL! And the productions I watch most often are those by Marc Dorcel... I'm a bit obsessed with his work quite honestly! I would LOVE to work with them at some point. His Pornochic series... OMG! In addition to the Dorcel productions I personally enjoy the Moms Bang Teens themed scenes as well as the productions from Erotica X, Naughty America, Digital Sin, Wicked Pictures, Michael Ninn, and Porn Fidelity.  I guess you can tell that aside from corrupting teens & using them as my personal fuck toys ... I like naughty ... kind of kinky... yet highly stylized adult entertainment.    

17)  Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

Well let's see... if I absolutely have to be alone... my favorite toy without question is any of the "Rabbit" variations. That internal and external stimulation is fantastic!    

18)  If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be?  Give us your male and female choices and tell us why. 

Fuck me... that's impossible ... I'd fuck a lot of them LOL!   Lets see if I can tackle this in two parts. Part 1:  Who I'd like to meet: Someone once asked me who are the people you would like to meet dead or alive. I find people interesting for very different reasons. If had I had to pick just one to meet .. not fuck lol ...it would be my great grandfather The Great Bear of Wall Street,  Jesse L. Livermore I. I believe we would have more in common than some might think. That said there are a bunch of people I would like to/wish I had a chance to meet.

Embrace Delayed Gratification! I truly LOVE what I do. I'm not ashamed, I don't have regrets & I treat this as a career. I get paid to explore the worlds most pleasurable activity. It's amazing really. When I first started, the money was insane, it was new to me and I spent like a rockstar. I paid the price for that foolishness. I did not embrace delayed gratification. Now I save & invest every penny. I will still be able to retire from this industry and secure my future but it's impossible to regain the benefit of compound interest over those early years. Or to be perfectly blunt... I gave up about 1.4 million for cars, handbags & ego. I'll never make that mistake again.
