FLESHBOT EXCLUSIVE–Five Question Quickie with Asa Akira

Wicked Pictures contract performer Asa Akira has her new memoir Insatiable: Porn—A Love Story in stores now.  She is busy as heck promoting it in addition to her latest Wicked release "Asa Gets Wicked" and generally being the in-demand, ridiculously hot dime piece that she is.  She gave Fleshbot this Five Question Quickie to check in.  

1) What is the best thing about being a published author?  

It’s only been a couple of weeks so far, so I don’t even know yet! Maybe the fact that it’s something I’ve done in my career that my parents are truly happy and proud about.   

2) How do you think that the world can benefit from more of sex-positive feminism?  

I think the world could use a big dose of sex-positiveness in general! To be anything else is to deny one of the most basic human instincts- if not THE most basic one. Why shun something we all do, something that is necessary to our existence? It seems silly.    Speaking specifically on sex-positive feminism, I think it’s unfair to slut-shame, and look down upon women who are open about their sexuality, while men doing the same thing are celebrated, even praised. When we stop seeing sex as “degrading” to women, we’ll be that much closer to true gender equality.   

3) What is your favorite scene that you have done for Wicked so far?   

It’s hard to pick just one. I had a scene with Jessica Drake in “Sexpionage” which is probably the best lesbian scene I’ve ever done. I did an anal masturbation/enema nurse scene in "Asa Gets Wicked", which is just the most beautiful I think I’ve ever looked and felt- which is ironic, considering I was literally giving myself an enema.  

4) What is the one story from your book that you think that Fleshbot readers will be most shocked by?   

There are a lot of shocking stories in the book (or so I’ve heard), but I think people who are fans of my porn will be the most shocked by the chapters where I’m just a normal person, eating pizza and having 30-second sex.  

5) If we were having an actual non-interview quickie, what would you want it to include?   

Pizza afterwards.
