Some critics have said that the scenes with this couple—flashbacks, actually, involving the protagonist's parents—are so melodramatic and silly that it harms the movie overall, robbing it of its earnestness. We think the critics are suffering from an unfortunate dearth of family drama vivisected by boobs and solar eclipses. And did you hear them fucking? Imagine what they would do if the house weren't filled with their sleeping relatives.
